Making sure you are working with a Patient ADVOCATE rather than an agent or facilitator for the doctor helps guarantee you find a surgeon with competency AND a good bedside manner! Advocates are medical professionals and serve YOU, the patient, by setting certain standards for patient care and seeing the surgeon collaborates with those standards. Accountability is key and sadly lacking in healthcare today.
