Welcome to Week 3 of my Reinvention & Integrated sneak peek...

I'll be taking an integrated approach in my coaching. Think, MIND, BODY, & SPIRIT, whatever that looks like for you. 🧠👤 🧘‍♀️

For me, I feel most grounded spiritually during a walk on the beach, sitting in the sunshine, meditation, etc. The times I just feel in alignment. For others, it’s religion… wherever your faith lies.

In my coaching, we'll be diving into more than cognition, more than dieting band-aids. The connection between your mind, body, and spirit is massive, and we'll be exploring all three to get you long-term solutions to any and all life problems you may have.

I like my oats fruity and with a sprinkle of cinnamon! Oatmeal is a great source of healthy carbs, fiber, and protein. How do you dress up your bowl? 🍓🫐

I usually eat smoothies or oatmeal for breakfast during the week. If I want something different on the weekends, I know my body has been fueled all week! When I eat sugary stuff for breakfast, I usually feel pretty low energy and am drawn to sweets all day. I find if I start with a green smoothie (and boy are mine green) or oats then my energy is better, I'm thinking clearer, and I’m not craving junk all day. Total win.

Wanna know why I have this silly grin and glow? Because I just said YES to myself and to a yoga retreat that has been on my bucket list forever!

I am definitely no yoga master—I dabble. I definitely have room to grow, and what better way than to spend a week of mornings practicing mindfulness with some soon-to-be friends through ?!

Am I excited? Heck yes! Am I also nervous? Totally. The moment I said yes, I got that dread feeling of questioning myself. I met one woman going on the trip at Full Moon Yoga and we chatted for maybe two minutes... I'm also sharing a room with someone I have never met!

Buuuut, the stars are aligned, and all of these happy coincidences might make me lose my destiny skepticism: A spot opened up for a single person (the hubs can't make this trip). The roommate's name is the same as my mom's. My name is the same as her mom's! Not to mention and I had a crazy conversation filled with talk of "coincidences." The dates align perfectly with another plan I have as well. I am a believer!

I will keep a journal of my experience and be sure to share it all here. Any bucket list items you're treating yourself to this summer?

Welcome back to my Reinvention & Transformation coaching sneak peek! If you missed a post, check out my feed for the cream-colored pics.

I've talked on here before about my struggle with my kids growing up. I have three of them, so I've spent the past two decades focusing on what's next in their lives. As they get older and become more independent, though, I have more and more time to think ahead for myself, for how my husband and I will fill our days, especially once my youngest heads to high school and my middle one goes to college.

If you're a parent, you have an idea of what I'm talking about. Whether you're scrambling around trying to cover all your bases with younger kids (trust me, I've been there) or used to putting your needs and wants on the back burner with older kids, I'm here to help reorient you and find ways to prioritize yourself, long term.

It has been super warm in South Florida as summer approaches, which is why getting outside in the morning is so nice!

I find there is a delicate balance between making time for yourself and being there for your family, kids, and friends. I usually WANT—even PREFER—to put my kids and family first. I love doing things for them... taking them where they need to go, watching performances, and helping with homework.

What I have noticed, though, is that I have lost touch with what I WANT to be doing since I am so used to filling my time with them. Relearning what I like and want is a challenge I am taking on full force. It requires intentionality and the discomfort of saying no or not being instantly available all the time for my crew.

What I am learning is that by not putting myself first, I am not living my true potential. How can I teach my kids to reach their potential and do what makes them glow if I don't know how to do that myself?

Does anyone else feel this way?

Timehop reminded me this week that two years ago my beautiful, intelligent guide to this life—my daughter—had the fantastically difficult choice of deciding between some amazing college experiences (UF, U Penn, Vanderbilt, Duke, etc.). The pandemic had just begun, there was no chance for touring, and she had only stepped foot on UF's campus. The choice was not easy. 💙💙

I know there are many parents out there going through these decisions right now. Maybe some of your kids are not going to college when you thought they would... or going to college when you never thought they would. Maybe they didn't get into their dream school (my daughter actually didn't get into hers). Maybe they just told you they aren't moving out when you thought they would or are when you thought they wouldn't.

This is a time of transition. We have spent time checking to make sure our kids were doing their school work. 📝 Did they write their essay? Is the Common App complete? When are the deadlines? Are they taking the SAT/ACT? What about extracurriculars? The list goes on.

How much time did you spend preparing yourself for this next part of your life?
