On this December 1, World AIDS Day, The Bahamas celebrates 40 years of dedicated work in the national response to HIV.
For four decades, our country has demonstrated resilience, strength, and unwavering progress—from expanding access to treatment and care, to reducing stigma, strengthening education, and empowering our communities with knowledge and hope.

We pause to honor and sincerely thank all health care workers, NPO and community partners, volunteers, and people living with HIV who have stood at the heart of this movement. Your courage, commitment, and partnership have shaped a stronger, more compassionate Bahamas.

Together, we celebrate the progress made—and continue the fight to ensure a healthier future for all.

December 1 is World AIDS Day. Show your support by wearing a Red Ribbon or a Red T-Shirt.

Wearing a red ribbon is a simple but powerful way to show solidarity with people living with HIV. It raises awareness, breaks stigma, and reminds our communities of the ongoing need for education, compassion, and support. The red ribbon symbolizes hope, remembrance, and the global commitment to ending HIV/AIDS.
