The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) handed over medical simulators worth over Nu. 2 million to the Eastern Regional Centre for Simulation-Based Training at Mongar Regional Referral Hospital.

These medium-fidelity simulators will facilitate simulation-based training sessions across the eastern region. The delivery includes one Resus Anne Simulator set and three Neonatal Advanced Life Support simulators.

The handing-over ceremony was graciously attended by the Medical Superintendent of Mongar ERRH.

Additionally, a team from KGUMSB and Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital is organizing an instructor course for Druk Sokchop-Bhutan Advanced Cardiac Life Support (DS-BACLS) using the newly received simulators.

This procurement was made possible through the support of the Technical Cooperation Project between JICA Bhutan Office and KGUMSB.

28th April to 1st May 2025: Medical Simulation Workshop

From 28th April to 1st May 2025, six medical simulation managers and educators are participating in a dynamic four-day workshop in Bhutan, led by a renowned Japanese Simulation Operation Specialist.

This intensive program focuses on, effective management of simulation centers, including documentation, record-keeping, and strategic planning, advanced operation of medium- and high-fidelity simulators and cutting-edge trends and innovations in medical simulation.

Organized under the Technical Cooperation Project (TCP) between Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) and JICA Bhutan Office, this workshop is fully funded by the TCP.
