Today we were invited as keynote speaker at the BA ISAGO University Francistown campus Counselling seminar.

The seminar themed 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑻𝒐 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔: 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑰𝒏 𝑬𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒆 inspired by world mental health day commemoration challenges the perspectives and systems that we have in the local context for mental health service provisions in emergencies. This seminar organized by the counselling program final year students, addressed our local emergencies and catastrophic issues like substance abuse and unemployment.

Our keynote address looked to challenge the upcoming mental health professional to interrogate the issue of access from both policy level to field work level.Which in so doing, stimulate innovative thinking on how to improve the mental health landscape in Botswana . We asked questions like:
What provision are there for mental health services as a universal health right in our policies and systems? how available and accessible are mental health services in times of crisis? what of the capacitation of mental health personnel for emergencies like natural disasters? what of the availability of resources to support and absorb mental health professionals in the already existing systems?

Mighty Mental health Consultants continues to provide support and our contribution to the Francistown mental health landscape by nspiring incoming mental health professionals to move past the limitations of their forerunners and grow the mental health service and care field in Botswana

Meet Sydney Lefofe , the Managing director of the MASHIACH group of companies. Sydney is a serial entrepreneur, innovator, pioneer, rebellious marketer, motivator, mentor, speaker, and author.

His multiple businesses spread accross various industries, including Education, Farming, Retail, and Real Estate. Sydney left his government job as a dental therapist, to pursue entrepreneurship by reason the burning passion of a transformed mind. He forged hi way in the entrepreneurial spaces doing everything to survive until he was established in the businesses that gave him fulfillment.

Sydney also sought out to close the gap in management courses by pursuing a Higher Certificate in Business Management, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is also appointed in the Francistown Regional Appeals Board

At the mindset lab Sydney will take us through the art of spotting opportunities and establishing them (finishing what you start), navigating harsh market and economic landscape. His story is of grit, resilience and a can do mindset
