I long forgave this brother.
But today I want to do it publicly. He insulted me when I was deeply involved in politics fighting against nepotism, fighting against a regime that collapsed our health and education systems, fighting against a corrupt regime.
One day he saw me in Phakalane ke pega my posters, and immediately ran to Facebook to attack BMD for not helping me with my posters as their President. Everytime he went on Facebook, he sought to embarrass me, even at a time when I asked voters in the North Western Botswana to vote BCP, and those in the Southern Botswana, Kgalagadi, Gantsi etc to vote UDC, and those in Gaborone to vote BMD, he couldn't hear that. He was out to ensure I'm voted by 395 voters. O bokete mthaka yo.
Ha puso e ncha e simolla go hira makhanselara, he went back to Facebook and reminded the UDC that he too needs a stake in government as he fought the so called Moruti Thuso Tiego on UDC's behalf. Go buabua Moruti go kgona go go tswalla dikgoro. But I silently said, "God forgive him for he knows not what he's doing". I love him. He's a brother in the struggle, but he should be smart enough to know which battles to fight and which ones to avoid.
I personally don't know how to fight small battles. I fight systems. I fight powers and principalities. I fight strongholds. Again, I don't just fight, I also wish powers well. I commit to praying for leaders until they prove that they don't need my prayers, and that's when I start to fight an unquenchable warfare. Once I start a fight, no one can stop me half way. That's the reason I don't act on emotions but REASON. O njesitse ditlhopho monna yo wa tsala yame, a nnyatsa, a ntshotla, a nthoga.
Jaanong malatsi a ke didimetse, Jaanong ke ene a simolotseng go dira what I used to do. I want to assure him that, though I disagree with his approach, I won't insult him. I keep on listening to him and not judging him. He's a fellow Motswana and I pray that one day the government offer him something, not because of his noise but because he too is a Motswana and deserves to share in the cake too.
Aluta continua!
