Charging Airdrie

Charging Airdrie Students at Bert Church High are "Charging Through Airdrie" to help support the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre though the Youth Champions Program.

Charging Airdrie is a student run group through Bert Church High School increasing awareness about the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre, and the issues surrounding child abuse. Our goal is to break the stigma of talking about child abuse, and helping our community to build healthy relationships. Several of our students are Youth Champions working hand in hand with the Centre and other students in the Calgary region to provide information about mental health, stress and building relationships which are all issues affected by abuse. Our main community project is our "Charging Through Airdrie" Amazing Race styled event in September 2016. Local businesses, members of the community, and students at BCHS are involved in the event with the goal to raise funds and awareness for the SKCAC.

Hey all you wonderful people! We are kick starting the race again this year! The race is on September 16th 2017 starting at Bert Church High School. Registration will be starting soon! Hope to see you at the race!
