Day 4 - Whoa! Look at this Winter Carnival no-fly, all hands up for fun schedule! Start the day at the Mess and cheer on your unit team's entrance in the banner competition, compete yourself through the day (don't eat TOO many bake sale sweeties!), and then we head to the Greenwood Gardens for the Para PowerPlay Association all-star evening game.

Jour 4 - Waouh ! Regardez ce programme sans vol pour le carnaval d'hiver, tout le monde est prêt à s'amuser ! Commencez la journée au Mess et encouragez l'équipe de votre unité lors du concours de bannières, participez vous-même aux compétitions tout au long de la journée (ne mangez pas TROP de sucreries vendues lors de la vente de pâtisseries !), puis rendez-vous aux Greenwood Gardens pour assister au match en soirée des étoiles de la Para PowerPlay Association.

Tomorrow is the day!🤩🩵

Come on out to the Greenwood Gardens Arena at 22 Chimo Rd, and watch Para PowerPlay take on the South Shore I.C.E. Storm in a Para Hockey Allstar game!🏒🥅

🗓️ - February 19th, 2026

Doors open to the public at 6pm ⏰

Player Introductions at 6:30pm followed by the national anthem, opening ceremony and puck drop

There will be live interactive activities happening at the event with both Rewind and AVR on site🎤

Any minor hockey player coming to the game with a team jersey will get a certified NHL puck with a team logo🏒 Some lucky winners will get some signed merchandise from Paralympic Gold Medalist Paul Rosen 🏆

There will be prizes to be won, including a gift basket totaling more than $1000 in merchandise and gift cards, plus an official Bauer Olympic Jersey 🤯

Anyone is welcome to come try the sleds in a relaxed, non-team environment. No pressure, no commitment — just come give it a go!

🛷 Trying the sleds?
✔️ Gloves and helmet are required to use the sleds

💙 The goal of Stick & Puck is to keep it fun, inclusive, and open — a chance for anyone able bodied or with a disability to try para hockey without practicing with the team.

Yesterday at St. Mary’s Bay Academy, we had the pleasure of welcoming the junior high Mariner basketball team to try wheelchair para-basketball. 🏀

A heartfelt thank you to all the coaches (Simms, Carpenter, Johnson) and families who came out to support and learn ability through disability and what it truly means to push forward. These experiences help build understanding, empathy, and respect.

A massive thank you as well to our incredible volunteers who make these opportunities possible. Because of you, kids get the chance to learn and educate themselves about what persons with disabilities navigate every day.

A special shout-out to Coach Ben Brown for coming down to support. The kids showed not only how much fun they had, but a real love for the game of basketball. 🏆

And as always to our partner and ambassador Paralympic Gold Medalist Paul Rosen for instilling wisdom on what it means to be a team and how any goal is possible if you are willing to do it together. 🥇

Para PowerPlay’s 14 Wing Greenwood Winter Carnival sledge hockey showcase will highlight Thursday, February 19, at the Greenwood Gardens Arena. Para PowerPlay all-stars will take on the South Shore I.C.E. Storm. Doors open at 6 p.m., with player introductions, the opening ceremony and puck drop with Paralympic Gold Medalist Paul Rosen at 6:30 p.m. The event will also include rink-side activities, prizes - including a gift basket worth more than $1,000 in gift cards and items like an official Bauer Olympic Jersey; and, any minor hockey player coming to the game with a team jersey will receive a certified NHL puck with an NHL team logo.

Le match de hockey sur luge du 14 Wing Greenwood Winter Carnival organisé par Para PowerPlay aura lieu le jeudi 19 février à la Greenwood Gardens Arena. Les étoiles de Para PowerPlay affronteront les South Shore I.C.E. Storm. Les portes ouvriront à 18 h, et la présentation des joueurs, la cérémonie d'ouverture et le coup d'envoi par le médaillé d'or paralympique Paul Rosen auront lieu à 18 h 30.
