It seems like everyone is sick right now, so here’s a few tips to support your immune system:

🌈 🥦 Eat the Rainbow
Bright coloured fruits & veggies are packed with Vitamin C & Antioxidants

🥑 🥜 Include Healthy Fats
Anti-inflammatory omega-3s support immune health.

🍗🫘 Protein
Helps repair tissues and build immune cells.

🦠 🥛 Focus on Gut Health
A strong immune system starts with a happy gut. Incorporate fermented foods like yogurt, kimchi, or sauerkraut, and feed your gut with fiber-rich whole foods.

💧🧂 Hydrate
Water is essential for flushing out toxins and keeping your body functioning optimally. Aim for 8+ glasses of filtered water a day and try adding a pinch of quality salt (see recent post on salt!)

✨ Include Micronutrient Boosters

• Zinc: Found in pumpkin seeds, shellfish, and beans.
• Vitamin D: Get sunlight or supplement as needed.
• Selenium: Brazil nuts are an excellent source!

💤 👟 Don’t Forget Lifestyle: Nutrition is key, but combine it with plenty of sleep, regular movement, and stress management to give your immune system the best shot!

I wrote this to myself recently as a much-needed reminder, and I know someone out there needs to hear it, too 🤍

We live in a world that constantly pressures us to push harder and take on everything all at once. If we’re not busy, we’re made to feel lazy. But rest is as essential as eating, breathing, and hydrating—it’s not “lazy,” it’s a necessity.

Striving to be the best version of yourself is incredible, but don’t forget to pause. Celebrate how far you’ve come and feel grateful for where you are right now. Take some time to simply be. 🤍
