It seems like everyone is sick right now, so here’s a few tips to support your immune system:
🌈 🥦 Eat the Rainbow
Bright coloured fruits & veggies are packed with Vitamin C & Antioxidants
🥑 🥜 Include Healthy Fats
Anti-inflammatory omega-3s support immune health.
🍗🫘 Protein
Helps repair tissues and build immune cells.
🦠 🥛 Focus on Gut Health
A strong immune system starts with a happy gut. Incorporate fermented foods like yogurt, kimchi, or sauerkraut, and feed your gut with fiber-rich whole foods.
💧🧂 Hydrate
Water is essential for flushing out toxins and keeping your body functioning optimally. Aim for 8+ glasses of filtered water a day and try adding a pinch of quality salt (see recent post on salt!)
✨ Include Micronutrient Boosters
• Zinc: Found in pumpkin seeds, shellfish, and beans.
• Vitamin D: Get sunlight or supplement as needed.
• Selenium: Brazil nuts are an excellent source!
