To surrender in yoga means softening your grip on control and allowing yourself to be guided by breath, intuition, and the present moment. It is a sacred release—an invitation to trust your body’s wisdom, let tension melt away, and open your heart to whatever arises with grace.

Through surrender, we return to stillness, remembering that peace flows when we stop resisting and simply allow. It’s a beautiful thing.

Malasna Bind

Malasana with a bind is a deeply grounding pose that opens the hips, groin, and shoulders while strengthening the legs and core.

The deep squat stretches the inner thighs and hip flexors, while the bind opens the chest and upper back, improving posture and shoulder mobility.

It also gently massages the abdomen, supporting digestion and circulation, and encourages mental focus and presence.

Practicing this pose cultivates both physical strength and energetic release, leaving the body feeling open, balanced, and centered.

Meditation Evening — Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 PM
Sound, Light & Deep Stillness

Join me Carlee at Happy Tree Yoga in Arnprior for a calming evening of meditation designed to release tension, quiet the mind, and awaken inner peace. Together, we’ll journey through three soothing practices that gently guide you inward.

💫 Progressive Relaxation
We’ll begin by softening the body from head to toe through guided relaxation — melting away tension and creating space for deep rest and awareness.

🕉️ Mantra Meditation
With body and breath settled, we’ll repeat a sacred sound — such as Om or So Hum — allowing its vibration to steady the mind and connect us to the stillness within.

🔥 Trataka (Candle Gazing)
We’ll close with candle gazing, focusing the eyes and mind on a single flame. This ancient technique strengthens concentration and invites a quiet, luminous clarity to rise from within.
