What I eat yesterday -Todd edition. I thought this might be helpful to see what I eat on a random Thursday. This is not how I suggest you eat, and it's far from perfect. ... but it was all delicious!
Breakfast:
Protein Oatmeal
featuring vanilla whey protein, peanut butter, and blueberries
Lunch:
Eggs (3) with leftover potatoes and sausages
Grated cheese and guacamole
Snack:
Dark chocolate covered almonds
Snack:
Berry and protein smoothie (forgot to photo before consuming)
Dinner:
Butter chicken with basmati rice and broccoli (I had more than what was in the photo - went back for another half portion)
85% chocolate for desert (I'm the sort of person who can just have a bit of chocolate and be satisfied. If you're someone who can't stop themselves from finishing the bar, maybe don't have it in the house. Dark chocolate can certainly be a fitness food, but only if consumed in small quantities. )
Late snack:
2 scoops of plant based chocolate protein powder in water
(The plant based protein is slightly inferior to whey protein from an amino acid standpoint, but it has the awesome benefit of high fiber! 2 scoops of this brand of protein has 42 grams of protein and a whopping 10 grams of fiber!)
..I would consider this a weight maintenance day, btw. About 3000ish calories and 180ish grams of protein. (This day, the protein was quite high, it's is usually closer to 150 g.) My calories would be quite a bit lower if I was trying to lose bodyfat.
