We're honored that The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund has partnered with Rescue 7 to donate three defibrillators in memory of John Wilcox, Keith Romphf, and Bill Wilkins. These are our three firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty or from work related illness or injury. These public access defibrillators will be placed throughout the city to provide timely critical care if they are needed.

As of January 1, 2026, Ontario’s Fire Code expanded where carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are required in homes with fuel-burning appliances, fireplaces, or attached garages.
CO alarms are now required on every storey of the home, including the basement, ground floor, and upper levels, not just near bedrooms.

✔️ Alarms are still required adjacent to all sleeping areas
✔️ More coverage means earlier warning and safer homes

Now is the time to check your alarms and make sure your home is compliant.
