Types of Dementia
There are numerous varieties of dementia. They cannot be reversed, even though some are easier to control than others.

Alzheimer's disease. dementia's most frequent cause. It is believed to be brought on by improper protein accumulation (tau and amyloid) and neurofibrillary tangle formation. Alzheimer's disease frequently causes short-term memory loss and difficulty making judgments.
Vascular Dementia

Parkinson's disease-related dementia and related conditions
Lewy body dementia. caused by the development of Lewy bodies in and around the brain. Hallucinations, trouble measuring distances, and short-term memory problems are typical adverse effects.
Dementia frontotemporal. It happens when protein clumps form inside brain cells, causing the cells to die. Both the front and sides of the brain experience this.
Disease of Creutzfeldt-Jakob

Part 2 ( of what is Dementia )
Who is affected by dementia?
Elderly people over 65 are typically the ones that develop dementia. For this reason, it is referred to as a late-life disease. Five to eight percent of people have dementia of some kind after the age of 65. According to studies, more than half of these people develop dementia by the time they are 85 years old.
