As of August 17, at 9:15 am, current fires include: 37 active fires; 11 being patrolled, 1 under control, 9 contained, 10 being monitored, 6 out of control, which are:

Oldfield Road (Miramichi)

Chief’s

273 Lovalls Lake

256 Beaver Lake Stream

265 Bear Landing

269 Moose Brook 2

Structures: No losses reported.

Evacuation advisory for fire 271 (Lavillette) remains in place. People should be prepared to evacuate on short notice. An Evacuation Alert will be issued if you need to leave. If that happens, an Alert Ready message will be issued with instructions.

This situation may change, and numbers may evolve throughout the day. While we don't anticipate having any livestreams this weekend, we will continue to share updates on social media.
