Birth doesn’t happen on a schedule — so we stay ready.

This is what the firefighter method looks like for a doula: pants, bag, and shoes by the door.🔥👶

Oxytocin is the love hormone and oxytocin is shy
it needs safety
it needs trust
it needs vibes
And your partner?
They are the master of Oxytocin.

It’s what powers contractions, fuels connection, and brings your baby earth-side.

It’s created through:
🤍 Safe touch
🤍 Kissing, hugging, kindness
🤍 Darkness, calm, gentle words
🤍 Feeling supported and loved

Build a team that protects that oxytocin bubble because it is sacred.

Creating a welcoming space is in the details.

A little tape, a little care, and a lot of pride in what I’m building.

Small tasks, big impact. 🩷

Because informed care requires honest answers — not rehearsed policy lines.

Birth is not a procedure. It’s a physiological, emotional, and deeply human experience.

And until we can talk about how our system treats women in labour, we’ll keep calling trauma “standard care.”

💛 Share this with someone who’s preparing to give birth.

💬 Which question would you want answered?

Doulas dont have feelings.... okay, obviously thats a joke. (I’m human too, I promise 🙂)

There’s a reason behind this though - because a part of my job is to set MY emotions aside and focus on the present momemt and what you want for YOUR birth. This way you make the best decisions for the labor and birth that you desire.

Our team is growing, and we’re searching for another birth doula who believes in collaborative care, gentle guidance, and holding space without judgment.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has completed doula training
• Can attend home or hospital births independently
• Is available for team backup
• Feels comfortable teaching or speaking to groups

If you’re trained, reliable, and passionate about helping families feel supported through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—we’d love to connect. 🩷

Send your resume or any questions to info@pelviclove.com.

I’m not a one-size-fits-all kinda doula.

I’m a multipurpose one.

I’ve held space for moms in hospitals, homes, and even coached someone through a car birth once or twice 🚗💨

So whether you’re team epidural or team “breathe through it,” I’ve got you.

My only rule? You feel supported, informed & respected in your choices.💛

No judgment. Just evidence, advocacy & love. 💛

Me at the end of the day looking for the energy to be a wife and mother…

Spoiler: she’s gone, and she’s not coming back till morning. 😂

It’s wild how much we do in a day. Working, cooking, planning, cleaning, the emotional labor, the tiny little conversations that somehow take every ounce of energy we’ve got.

By 8 p.m., I’m a loving wife in theory and a present mom in spirit — but physically? I’m just a pile of exhaustion with a bun and stretchy pants.

If you’re in that season where you love them all fiercely but have nothing left to give—same. You’re not broken. You’re just tired. And that’s okay. 💛

They’ve been saying “Mom, please don’t be weird” for years…

But this time, we’re out at a bar for the first time since both kids are legal drinking age, of course we’re in Newfoundland, and the fiddle’s playing, and they’re right beside me on the dance floor. 💚

Who is weird now?

Weird is the best, especially when it’s shared. 🪗✨

Fate kept nudging me onto this path.

Growing up in a small town in Newfoundland was very different than living in a city and having a family. I was born into a large family and by the time I was a young teen, my older siblings were already starting families. I dont know how old I was when I first started caring for other peoples kids and homes. I only remember that it was expected, we were a village.

When I first moved to Windsor and started my family, I didnt realize the difficulties I had set myself up for by not having family near. I quickly learned that you need people to lean on in difficult times and especially if you are a business owner as well as a parent. I had a very wonderful family who lived next door to us and they were my support system througout my kids young lives. I made sure to nourish this relationship with this beautiful family because I wanted that for my kids.

As my Doula Practice grew and I got invited into birth rooms, I felt like I had been blessed with such an amazing way to be a part of a community. I started to build my practice around pregnancy & postnatal care almost immediately after becoming registered as a Massage Therapist. Once I had been in the delivery room with a family, we quickly became connected in a very strong way. We were building a village!

Years later, I do not go into the delivery room much. I am having a bigger impact on taking care of moms during pregnancy & postpartum.
