FINISHED! (I think 🤣) I HAVE spent a lot of time on this one, but don’t want it to be over worked. That fine balance. But the colours needed more balancing. I’m ready for more flowers! This one is 21 x 21 on paper, inflamed (autocorrect said that). No, unframed. $650.

This isn’t finished but I’m so in love with it. Now is the crucial time to keep going but not overwork it. So I’m taking a break. Flowers wilt fast, and these are already a few days old as I was doing preliminary sketches. ,

A few days of abstract drawing in my sketchbook. Slowing it WAY DOWN. So much insanity in the world, so much doomscrolling and attempting to keep up. SO MUCH emotion and feelings running through the nervous system. I needed to do something to slow time down and feel. I used to practice a type of drawing combined with Sensory Awareness when I was much younger, back when I thought my life was stable and complete.😂 Little did I know what lay ahead in the journey. But here I am at 55 (almost) trying to express on paper what exactly is going on. Trying to make my art more anti fascist, more emotional, expressive, human…And I remembered the old process of Sensory Awareness. Slowing down, feeling my tools and paper fully. Letting them guide the drawing not me. And so here are a few …
