FULL MOON IN SCORPIO - The Moon is full…in Scorpio, exact this afternoon. Building this past week more intensely but truly since the New Moon in Aries two weeks ago there has been a fullness coming. What intention did you set then? Do you feel it come into being? Did it change along the way? What got off the ground? What was not needed?

This full moon highlights the axis of Ta**us and Scorpio…we are in fixed spring, Scorpio is in fixed fall. The polarity here is what is alive and growing and what is dying and composting. It is this way for the Earth…what comes alive runs its course, its life plan, dies, decays and is reborn.

What feels done in you? What feels alive in you? The Ta**us Sun sits in the Six of Pentacles decan. The Scorpio Moon sits in the Six of Cups decan.

The Six of Pentacles is reciprocity energy, giving and taking. How does this balance work for you? What is a fair exchange? Sometimes balancing what is fair and just weighs you down and yet you carry it nonetheless.

The Six of Cups brings the sweetness of the past into view. What is gone and done but here in your heart for future viewing. Nostalgia for the way things were. This card is reconciliation energy, a portal for memories.

BELTANE BLESSINGS - Beltane or Bealtaine is the Celtic May Day festival celebrated by modern pagans as one of our main Sabbats. Falling at a point midway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, Beltane festivities often feature themes of fertility, fire, nature, new beginnings, and the union of the Goddess and the God.

Beltane incorporates many traditions, including the Gaelic practice of using bonfires to ensure protection from harm. It closely follows the Germanic “May Day” festivities, such as dancing around a maypole to celebrate the Earth’s growing fertility. In Northern Europe, this day is called the Feast of Walpurga and in the Christian tradition, the Feast of the Cross.

It is a time of planting, flowers, birds, bees, and honey. At this time, the veil is thin between the worlds and faeries return from their winter hiatus. As life springs forth from the fertile ground, it is a good time for all celebrations of fertility, new beginnings, abundance, and prosperity.

“Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit” 🐇🐇🐇
is an old piece of Folklore people often say for good luck at the start of a new month. The tradition holds that if those are the first words spoken on the morning of the new month, it's believed to invite good fortune, protection and positive energy for the days ahead.

Its exact origins aren’t clearly known, but it has been passed down over time as a simple, lighthearted ritual. Today, many still say it at the beginning of each month as a way to Welcome a fresh new start and set an intention for luck and abundance.

This May feels especially meaningful, as it carries an extra touch of MagicK with two Full Moons, the Flower Moon on May 1st and a RARE Blue Moon on May 31st, amplifying the sense of renewal, abundance and new beginnings.

DIG DEEP - The Moon remains in Libra until around 4pm when she dives from her lofty air space to the deep subterranean waters of Scorpio. I imagine the shift will be palpable. Many of you have heard me say this before…the Scorpio Moon is intense.

This time, as the Moon has been growing larger in the sky and gaining energy to full, the Scorpio vibes are noticeable. This full moon lunation will be ruled by Mars in his domicile of Aries, have a square to Pluto in Aquarius, and with Mercury & Chiron conjunct in Aries. Venus in Gemini will be in sextile with Saturn in Aries. This will gather everything from Aries to Gemini on one side and the Moon on the other….this is peak focused energy pointing to our Scorpio houses and any placements we have there.

Ohhhh the Five of Swords…such a card of angst and frustration. You are in it and you are grasping at all the “measures” of your ability to win. Every scrap of evidence is hurled at another. In relationship with others sometimes it feels like we are on the losing side and we want desperately to get a score on the board. What does it cost you for that win, asks the Five of Swords.

ALL OF ME INSIDE OF ME - As the Libra Moon dances across the sky she wants to interact with all of the beings there. Libra opposes Aries…and there are a few planetary bodies in Aries right now. ☄️

Libra seeks balance and harmony and Aries will want to do it their way. You may find there is a push/pull to daily living. What does it feel like in your body when you reach out in harmony and the “other” pushes you away? Maybe not forcefully but enough for you to notice…what action wants to emerge? Strike back? Slink away? Where is the middle ground?

We are only a couple of days away from a full Moon in Scorpio…always intense. It will be ruled by Mars in Aries. At home, fully resourced.

The Moon is not as resourced in this lunation, so far from her Cancer home and opposing her Ta**us exaltation. You may start to feel this energy coming at you…the undertow. I believe we will need to fortify our boundaries so we can know for certain what we are feeling is coming from our energy and not everyone else’s.

The Star and The World bring balance to the fiery dynamo that is the Knight of Wands. The Star ties their dreams to a star…hopes and visions for the future. This card asks you to find your home within yourself. To tether to yourself in times of turbulence.

The World is Saturn’s card. Saturn speaks to limits but also to responsibility. In this card we realize our wholeness, our becoming. You may be transforming and seeing the fruits of your efforts. We can celebrate here. We have come so far. It’s time to plant the next seed/next step of the journey.

We can’t get lost in our fire or it will consume us. We can’t spend our days up in our heads or we miss the sensory pleasure of living. We can’t be so fixed in the earth as to be unmovable. And the blessed waters of emotion…we can’t succumb to overwhelm.

IN OUR HEARTS - We wake to a Venus ruled Libra Moon…the themes of harmony, peace, and justice fill the spaces in our relationships. Venus is in Gemini making a trine with Pluto in Aquarius. The Libra Moon completes the other side and they all trine each other…Venus to Pluto, Pluto to the Moon, and the Moon to Venus. Grand Air Trine … delicious.

When we have so much air pulling focus the day tends to move quickly and our communication with others takes on a resonant quality. With Pluto in the mix, this resonance good be something we have held on to…now wanting to be released…said to the wind 💨

And yet…the cards bring the water. A remembrance that what flows in us is connected to source through the flow of water. This is deeper work and we may only see the tip today…more will be revealed on the full moon in Scorpio on Friday.

The Ace of Cups calls us to the next level of this spiritual work. When this card appears we are called to listen to our hearts. It knows things, truths, that are not rational or easily explained. The Queen of Cups…one of my favourite court cards…knows who she is. She knows how to listen to her heart and to follow the desires that live there. This card encourages you to draw on the power of your intuitive heart and listen deep. The Queen of Cups is often associated with magic, lunar love, tarot, and astrology. Maybe today would be a good day to explore.

The Libra Moon while trining Venus and Pluto will also oppose Neptune, Saturn, and Mars as she makes her way through the sign of the scales. You may feel you have to be measurable with your words, or measure out their meaning.

PRACTICAL LOVE - The Moon is in Virgo all day, quietly reaching across the sky to Jupiter in Cancer in sextile. An agreement. A handshake. A “we got this” energy. We have to work together to make it happen. The Sun in Ta**us and the Moon in Virgo gives me some practical vibes. And a sextile between Jupiter and the Moon in the moon’s homeplate…and Jupiter exalted there…

The Ta**us Sun is also reaching out to the nodes of the Moon…trining the South Node in Virgo and a sextile to the North Node in Pisces. Familiar solutions to everyday issues roll in. It’s stuff you know and have come up before. The physical world around you, the routines that are tried and true, come together. Adding a little prayer of gratitude pulls in the North Node.

The cards resonate with earth energy…Page of Pentacles asks for a child like response to anything that comes up. There is joy here. Be fascinated. The Six of Pentacles feels so sextile-y to me. Reciprocity. Give a little. Get a little.

Whatever you go going on today work with the practical grounded energy. Maybe there is a clean up or any organization of some sort that has been on your mind. Good day to get this going. Maybe there is some health issue gnawing at you for a bit. Take a step to change what you can, address what you can.

WHAT WE CARRY - The Leo Moon went into a void phase yesterday around 7:30pm. She won’t have another aspect until 4:30 this afternoon when she trines Chiron in Aries. Voids are periods when the Moon is not making any aspects. It is considered to be a time of rest, renewal, and restoration. They are not typically this long.

The Sun in Ta**us will square Pluto in Aquarius during this void time accentuating a deep awareness to our attachments and what may be keeping us stuck. We may be confronted with shadows or fears…when these threats to our ego come forward they ask to be released. I believe the Leo Moon’s void period is a stepping aside to let the Sun and Pluto do their work. Leo is ruled by the Sun after all.

The Philosopher’s Tarot wanted to come forward today. I find this deck to be a tad intellectual but here we are. On the base of it we have The Lovers…the card of Gemini. We have Temperance…the card of Sagittarius. And we have Judgement…the card of Pluto. The axis of Gemini & Sagittarius is the balance between detailed observations and philosophical understanding.

Judgement stands in the centre…will you answer the call? We are going through it so says this card but will we face our own accountability to get to the other side? To liberate ourselves in the most honest of ways?

Honour all that you are. Acknowledge the present moment and all that you carried into it and all you want to carry into the next. We carry a lot in this life. Some of it helpful, some not so much.

Today, we have an opportunity to own what we are carrying, the choice to carry, and then to lay it down with respect, with grace, with love.

Later this evening Uranus enters Gemini, the Moon enters Virgo and immediately squares Uranus. The outer planets, generational planets, will be in place for the new dawn, the new era, to begin. Choose what you will carry onwards. ✨
