Feelings of loneliness can lead to serious consequences for senior health.
Canadian Census data showed that about a quarter (24.6%) of the population aged 65 and over now live alone. Additional to that, people over 65 have an average life expectancy of almost
20 more years, which is a long time to live alone.
Here are a few things you can do to combat this issue:
Promote Sense of Purpose.
Make Transportation Available.
Get Them a Pet.
Get Them Involved in the Community.
Encourage Exercise.
Keep Up Doctor Visits.
