Through Chickadee Music Services, I’m passionate about using music-based approaches to help students feel supported, regulated, and confident during times of change.

Welcome Spring!!! 🌱🌸☀️

Today marks the first day of spring, a season of growth, renewal, and fresh energy. To say I have been waiting for spring is an understatement. I have been YEARNING for the spring weather to return as soon as possible so I can start my garden!

March is also Music Therapy Month, a time to recognize the impact music can have in supporting communication, emotional well being, connection, and overall quality of life. It is a reminder of how meaningful and purposeful music can be when used intentionally.

At Chickadee Music Services, I see this every day. Whether it is building confidence in a child, supporting emotional expression, or helping someone reconnect with memories through familiar songs, music continues to create powerful and lasting moments.

As we move into this new season, I am looking forward to continuing this work and welcoming new opportunities for growth, connection, and creativity.

If you have a loved one living in a retirement or long-term care home and would like to make their day extra special, I’m offering personalized singing visits.

I bring flowers, sing Happy Birthday, favourite songs, or seasonal/Christmas music, and spend meaningful one-on-one time connecting with your family member. These visits are more than just singing — I gently draw on my music therapy background to support connection, memory, comfort, and emotional well-being.

Before the visit, I’ll ask for a short list of favourite artists or songs so the music can be personalized and familiar, creating a more meaningful experience.
