Phalates - one of many harmful chemicals contained in conventional cleaners, other household and personal care products.
Per numerous articles and research papers in the past few years, researchers have linked phthalates to asthma, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, breast cancer, obesity and type II diabetes, low IQ, neurodevelopmental issues, behavioral issues, autism spectrum disorders, altered reproductive development and male fertility issues.
While it is very difficult to completely avoid them in our modern everyday life, using Castile soaps and other natural products in non-plastic packaging can help eliminate them from our home care routine at least.
