Gaslighting: Making You Doubt Yourself
Gaslighting is a specific form of emotional abuse where someone denies your experiences, memories, or feelings so often that you begin to question your own perception of reality.
Examples of gaslighting include:
“That never happened.”
“You’re imagining things.”
“I never said that.”
“You’re too sensitive.”
These tactics can leave you feeling confused, anxious, or unsure of yourself. Recognizing gaslighting is often one of the first steps toward healing.

Domestic violence doesn't take a Christmas vacation. If you or a loved one is in need of help, share this post. Emotional abuse isn’t always obvious — and that’s what makes it so harmful.
It can happen in relationships, families, or even friendships.
🚩 Common signs include:
• Constant criticism or belittling
• Gaslighting (“That never happened”)
• Feeling like you’re walking on eggshells
• Being blamed for someone else’s anger
• Feeling isolated from people you care about
If a relationship leaves you feeling confused, small, or afraid — it’s worth paying attention.
