What’s happening:
Phalen’s test places the wrists into full flexion, increasing pressure inside the carpal tunnel. If the median nerve is irritated, symptoms like tingling, numbness, or burning may reproduce within 30–60 seconds.

Reverse Phalen’s (prayer position) loads the wrist into extension, also narrowing the tunnel and stressing the nerve differently.
