Meet Emily, a fully licensed RMT, that has an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth work, and is a Reiki Master.

Emily seeks to heal people from their past trauma through massage and has come to realize that trauma is felt and held in the physical body. Having a massage therapist on your side to aid in the release of these traumas is extremely beneficial.

We often hold tension and emotions from past experiences and/or trauma within our bodies.

Healing not just our mind but our body along with it is extremely important in ridding the emotions that sit stagnant within our physical being.

Next time you book a therapy appointment, book a massage right before or after to help work the tension out of not only your mind, but your body too.

A large part of wellness that is often not considered is connecting to others who fuel us, and guide our growth. We must surround ourselves with people who can build us up to the individuals we are meant to be.
Wellness isn’t always meant to be done alone, in our homes, but out within our community.

The most classic wellness and self-care tool, bathing. 🛁

Some may roll their eyes at this tip but I believe baths are an extremely important wellness ritual, tool, etc. as there are so many benefits that come along with it.

Bathing helps with breathing, making one breathe deeper and slower, in turn helping your blood cells get more oxygen and aid in increased circulation, it reduces inflammation and can help with our heart and brain function, and of course helps our muscles relax.

So if you have an hour (or even ten minutes) to spare, light a candle, brew a cup of tea and run yourself a bath. As the weather starts to cool, warm yourself up with a nice hot soak.

Meet Chelsey, a Certified Holistic Nutritional Practitioner, with a immense passion for thyroid and hormone health.

The saying “you are what you eat” may be annoying to hear, or strike a cord, but the saying is true. What we put into our bodies is what fuels us, or breaks us.

Nutrition and eating healthy is often overlooked as a form of self-care yet I find when I fuel my body with the proper nutrients and foods, I feel my best and that is totally an act of self care.

So take some time this week to cook yourself up a delicious and whole food meal, or purchase a carton of fruits when you get groceries. Show yourself some love and care by putting good, whole food into your body.

Something we often forget about that governs a large portion of our general health.
As women we overlook how much our hormones affect our day to day life, as we constantly ebb and flow through our cycle we must learn how to work with our hormones and ensure that they are at healthy levels. While men can be affected by irregular hormone balances as well, yet don’t realize as it is not something often discussed within western medicine.
