✨ 3 years of Embracing the Journey. 5 years of full-spectrum care. And a whole lot of learning, unlearning, and love along the way.

This work has brought me into the homes, hospital rooms, births, and hearts of people from every walk of life….from TTC and birth to grief and healing. And it’s reminded me that this work? It matters.

To those who’ve trusted me in your most sacred moments… THANK YOU. For those still looking for someone to walk beside you…my door’s always open. 💛

Here’s to more growth, more connection, and more radical, real, inclusive care.

Why do we trust medicine, but scoff at nature?

Ever paused to ask why we call things like reiki, acupuncture, or energy work “woo”?

Or when we decided herbs were suspicious… but synthetic drugs were normal?

We live in a world where invisible forces (like electricity and gravity) are accepted as fact, but energy healing? That’s just silly, right?

This isn’t about picking sides.
It’s about asking better questions.
It’s about remembering that proof isn’t always the prerequisite for something to help you heal, to help you achieve a goal, that makes YOU feel good.

This isn’t just for people navigating fertility or postpartum. It’s for anyone who’s ever wondered why we trust chemicals over nature… or been curious about practices labeled as “woo.”

Whether you lean spiritual, science-y, or somewhere in between, this one’s for you. 💭✨

Not everything that works has a data set behind it.

You can light a candle before an embryo transfer.
Drink bone broth during your two-week wait.
Get acupuncture while prepping for IVF.

Will your doctor suggest it? Maybe not.
Will it show up in a textbook? Probably not.

But if your body responds positively… it counts.

I wrote this blog as a love letter to the in-between, where science ends, lived experience begins, and real support happens in the spaces no one’s tracking.

It’s not just woo. It’s not just western. It’s what actually helped.

You notice the strands in the shower.
The brush. The pillow.
And suddenly it feels like your body is falling apart on top of everything else.

But here’s the truth:
Postpartum hair loss isn’t just about hormones.
It’s about what your body’s been through — physically, emotionally, nutritionally, neurologically.

And if “just eat better” or “just be patient” doesn’t land for you?
You’re not doing anything wrong.

In my latest blog, I talk about postpartum hair loss through a real-life, neurodivergent, perimenopause-aware lens, and how I support my body without shame or overwhelm.

We’re told “stress is bad for fertility”, but what happens when the way we talk about stress just… adds more stress?

Not everyone responds the same way.
Not everyone’s nervous system hears “relax” and relaxes.
And not every “treatment” actually feels helpful for the person going through it.

This post is a gentle reminder that stress is layered, lived, and deeply personal, especially in fertility journeys.

It’s time we stop treating stress like a one-size-fits-all fix and start seeing it in full colour.

🌧️ Drizzle or downpour, your experience matters.

Shoutout to my husband for becoming a full-time bean sprout farmer overnight. 🌱😂

Attempt 1: ✨failed-ish✨
Attempt 2: redeemed in chow mein (RIP, you were delicious)
Attempt 3: sprouted so hard it escaped the grower like it’s auditioning for a nature documentary.

With grocery prices doing the absolute most, I suggested we start selling “locally, homegrown sprouts.”
Store bag: $5.
Our bag: $10.
Why? Because it’s artisanal and comes with a side of audacity. 😌💸

Anyways, I’m proud, impressed, and slightly concerned we’re about to be sprout-rich.

✨ Wishing You a Gentle & Magical Holiday Season ✨

As 2025 winds down, I know this season doesn’t feel light for everyone. The world feels heavy. Many of us are carrying more than we let on — grief, burnout, uncertainty, or maybe just the quiet exhaustion of doing our best every day.

None of it needs to be minimized or compared. Your experience is valid, no matter what it looks like.

At this turning of the wheel — when the dark is longest and the light begins to return — I hope you remember:

🕯️ Even the smallest flame can defy the darkness. 🕯️

We don’t always get to control the weight we carry, but we can choose how we show up for ourselves and others. And in a world that desperately needs more softness, more love, and less judgment, choosing light is a radical act.

So here’s your gentle reminder:
👉🏻You don’t have to shrink to fit anyone else’s expectations.
👉🏻You don’t owe anyone a perfect holiday.
🥰And you absolutely don’t need permission to rest, feel, grow, or protect your peace.

Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, or just making it through the end of December — may you find comfort, connection, and whatever form of magic helps you feel a little more like yourself again.

My work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and deep care. And yes, I still believe that support should never come with conditions.

💛 Stay kind. Stay grounded. Stay curious. And to the haters — maybe find a better hobby or use all that energy you put towards hating others, places, or things into something that sparks joy — like therapy, journaling, or literally anything more productive.

With love, light, and just a hint of old magic,

Kat

Where do you feel most at ease?

Coffee shop. Your home. A cozy pub.
Wherever you feel comfortable — that’s where I’ll meet you.

Because support isn’t about a setting… it’s about connection. 💜

✨ Fertility Support: Who Does What? ✨

When you’re trying to conceive or navigating fertility challenges, it can be overwhelming to know who does what and who you really need on your team.

That’s why I created this guide breaking down the roles of a Fertility Doula and a Fertility Specialist/Doctor.

🌱 A Fertility Doula focuses on emotional, physical, and practical support. Helping you feel seen, supported, and prepared.
🩺 A Fertility Specialist provides medical testing, diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
💜 Together, they can provide a powerful balance of care: whole-person support + medical expertise.

Your journey is unique, and there’s no “one right way.” This post is here to help you feel informed and empowered to choose the support that feels right for YOU.

💭 Did I miss anything you think is important to highlight about fertility care?

💭 Have you worked with a fertility specialist, a doula, or both? What difference did it make for you?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

💫 Curious about how I can walk alongside you on your journey? Let’s connect. Link in bio.

✨ Postpartum help comes in many forms, and it’s easy to get confused about who does what. ✨

New parents often wonder: Do I need a doula? A mother’s helper? A nanny?
The truth is, all three roles can be valuable, but they each have unique focuses.

🌸 A postpartum doula supports you first, your recovery, your emotions, and your transition, while also caring for baby and guiding the whole family.
🌸 A mother’s helper jumps in for extra hands with kids and household tasks while you’re still present.
🌸 A nanny provides ongoing childcare, often long-term, with the focus on children’s routines and needs.

The right fit depends on your goals, budget, and where you need the most support. 💜

👉 Swipe through this post to learn the differences, similarities, and questions to help you decide.

🌞 It might look like I’ve been MIA on here, but truth is… this summer has been full! Between my kids being home from school, caring for clients, and tackling a long list of projects, I’ve been soaking in the chaos and the joy.

✨ Some highlights:
🛠️ New bathroom floors & a full garage sale purge (goodbye baby clothes, housewares, & random gear 👋).
🐠 A fish tank makeover for our longest living fish. The 55 gallon tank is being prepared for a new home too.
🍳 On-demand chef life, this morning’s lineup: French toast two ways, pancakes two ways, scrambled & hard-boiled eggs, and strawberries. We had build-your-own pizzas on another day.
🧽 Deck repair, pressure-washing, fence prep, exterior house painting… let’s just say Home Depot knows me well..has for a very long time. 😆
🌲 Trips to Canmore, including a meaningful hike up Ha Ling Peak for Ben’s Last Hike 💜.
🏡 Cabin weekends with family that refilled my soul.

In between all that, I’ve been continuing my education, working on certifications, reading stacks of books, and updating things behind the scenes for my business.

💫Always learning, always growing.💫

I may not post often, but I’m still here, walking alongside your journeys, and grateful for those who continue to walk beside mine. 💜

Oh hey, August 1st… didn’t expect you to come in this hot. ☕💥

After sleeping in until 10 (a true miracle for any parent), I thought maybe—just maybe—you were on my side. You lured me in with that rare rest, and then BAM… bait and switch. 😤

I lost my cinnamon cold brew and my beloved giant mug in one tragic, caffeinated crime scene. RIP to the ‘abundance brew’ I never even got to sip. 😭

I had plans, August. Beautiful, peaceful plans. A slow morning after a deep clean… ‘extra love’ French toast and chocolate chip pancakes for the kids… sipping my coffee like a woman who had her life together.

But no. You had other plans.

Instead, I:
🔸 Mopped up coffee across half the main floor
🔸 Got stabbed by rogue ceramic shards (twice)
🔸 Cleaned up after both kids
🔸 Made a bottle and changed the baby
🔸 Brewed a second coffee (this time in my ‘Best Mom Ever!’ mug, because honestly? I earned it)

So yeah… well played, August 1st. But I’ve got magic and caffeine on my side now. 😉

Here’s to abundance, cinnamon rituals, and embracing the chaos with love and humour.
May your August start off way less chaotic than mine. 💖
