A heads up that those of you that have used my business email, info@zealandzen.com, to contact me in the past Please know that it is no longer valid. You won't reach me that way. If needed please PM or use my personal email if you already have it....this page will also eventually disappear but I wanted to give you some time for the adjustment.

I hope you are all well in cyberworld and managing this craziness. Last night I got to listen to a live stream of a concert that I likely wouldn't have gone too since it was too late for me...if we look there are opportunities once we let go of attachment to doing things we have always done. Self isolation or social distancing provides space for a quiet yoga practice that you might not otherwise engage in. It also gives time to do all that stuff that you have been putting off at home. You can still connect via electronics to most and might even have more time to reach out on skype or something similar to someone you haven't touched base with in a while.

I used to love staying home and healing from a cold since it gave license for quiet, maybe some guilty pleasures of naps, watching movies etc. I know we can't do this for extended periods but the reframing of your experience will open up the possibilities and shift mindset to decrease stress.

Sending out positive vibes to you all hugs zdr

YOGA IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEART!
People who practice Yoga regularly are better able to calm the body during times of stress, and meditation stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing blood pressure and promoting self healing. Tanglefoot offers Yoga with Kirsten Guest, Tues and Thur mornings at 9am, and Restorative Yoga with Cynthia Moore, Tues evenings at 7pm. Do something good for your heart! Join us!

Jacquie Phelan pioneered the early days of modern women’s mountain biking and introduced some of the first women-specific mountain biking camps and clinics. Now, as women’s participation in the sport is growing, what can be learned from the 'Godmother' of Women’s Mountain Biking?

yikes very full yoga class this am at Tanglefoot...22!

If you are thinking of coming next week please do, we will fit you all somehow, but also please be timely, more bodies mean a little more time required for set up.

Great to have had this week with two shoulder classes, one very chill the other more get up and go. I am open to suggestions for next week....so far we have a vote for core...

Lots of cheering for both classes but the more chill one I think has the most votes so I might lean that way unless I hear otherwise.

Happy day all!

Next weeks classes are Tues and Thurs at 9 til 10:30. And note that they continue throughout the winter season with Kirsten at the helm(I am just subbing at the moment) so lots of opportunity to get in a routine.
