Join us on December 4, 2025 for "Navigating Grief: A Journey Through the Five Gates" presented by Rabbi Rick Kline.

Grief is highly varied, deeply personal, and increasingly recognized in multiple forms beyond bereavement. Today, mental health professionals are paying closer attention to Prolonged Grief, Acute Grief, Anticipatory Grief, Disenfranchised Grief, and Collective Grief—each with profound effects on our emotional and social well-being.

Join us as we explore the Five Gates of Grief, a transformative framework developed by Francis Weller, psychotherapist and author. These gates help illuminate the many layers of sorrow we carry—from personal loss to ancestral wounds and the grief we feel for the world itself.

We will also engage in creative approaches to healing, including a guided Healing Meditation to support emotional integration and inner peace.

Join us on November 20, 2025 for "State Shifting with Breath" presented by Trevor Wyllthawk.

Many people arrive at meditation in search of peace of mind. Mental busy-ness, agitation, stress, and fear all promote dysregulated breathing patterns and, vice versa, suboptimal breathing habits promote challenging physical, emotional, and mental states.

In this evening talk and introductory experience, we will explore the mindful use of breathing practices as a means for promoting a healthy mind-body. When consciously applying these approaches to breathing we will often find ourselves resting more naturally in mind and body and potentially more lucrative within our meditation practices.

"The Enneagram and Mindfulness: Strengthening Self-Awareness and Resilience", was presented on October 16, 2025 by Bev Janisch, MN, IAC, Certified Integral Coach, Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher, HeartMath Certified Mentor, Enneagram Guide.

Mindfulness is one of the most effective practices for calming the mind, reducing stress, and cultivating presence. Yet many people find that despite their best efforts, they get pulled off balance by recurring thoughts, emotions, and reactions. This is where the Enneagram becomes a transformative companion. The Enneagram provides a practical framework for understanding our unconscious patterns, while mindfulness gives us the awareness to pause, notice what is happening in the moment, and respond with intention. Over time, this mindful awareness naturally supports nervous system balance, emotional regulation, and resilience. In this session, Bev Janisch explores how integrating the Enneagram with mindfulness accelerates self-awareness and strengthens our capacity to live and work with greater clarity, steadiness, and authenticity.

Join us on September 4, 2025 for "Scattered Thoughts on Mindfulness" presented by Mary Wallis Ph.D.

Most of us understand pretty clearly what mindfulness is, and why we practise it. But when we are sitting in meditation, it's often the scattered mind full of noise that can confuse and frustrate us. This talk is about that nitty-gritty, second-by-second, experience of the mind during meditation. We'll look at some suggestions on how to manage the wild stuff, how to know what's important to stay with, and how to let go of the rest.

Join us on June 19, 2025 for "Everything's Alright: the Possibility of Cultivating Contentment" presented by Ayya Ahimsa.

In our competitive, consumer culture we rarely hear talk about contentment. According to the Buddha it is a huge blessing in someone's life to often hear talk about contentment and fewness of wishes. Indeed, contentment is a reservoir of peace and ease in our lives, our spiritual practice and in our meditation..

Join us on June 5, 2025 for "Embracing Darkness: A Mindful approach to welcoming the unwelcome and the unwanted" presented by Dr. Allan Donsky.

Our internal life and the world out there provides many opportunities to engage the dark, the unwelcome, and the unwanted. Mindfulness reminds us we can either avoid being in wise relationship to the “yucky stuff” or we can find healing and "yummy stuff" alongside uncertainty and chaos. Our mindful practice provides an opportunity to experience the ever-present dance of darkness and light. This talk will attempt to render and shape the experience into language that helps us remember ourselves more fully.
