While I'm still wrapping my head around mountain biking in February, it was so nice to get out on the bikes this afternoon with and Islay.

Cycled up Moose Mountain road and then rode 727 to Stone's Throw and out. A few icy spots, but mostly dry and dusty... And very fun.

I asked Chat to create a caricature of me based on what it knows about me. I had to share a picture, but the rest it decided on its own.

Creepily accurate. Though my Success-Energy Equation is not 😅

What do you think?

Creativity activated!

Every now and then and I head for lunch somewhere with our notebooks in hand, to brainstorm 'stuff' for my business.

Ewan is a videographer, so conversation usually focuses around video projects he can help me with, but it often evolves into bigger picture ideas that bubble up once we get talking.

He pushes me, and it's not always an easy process. Getting outside that comfort zone rarely is, but that's where growth lives.

The wine isn't required to get the ideas flowing, but it doesn't hurt 😉

What strategies do you use to activate your creativity and get outside that comfort zone?

It's hard to explain the contrast of emotions I feel between putting up the tree at the start of December and taking it down at the start of January.

The tree always gets me into the holiday spirit. Each morning I turn on its lights, make myself a coffee, and slowly enter the day with nothing I HAVE TO do...

And this year they felt blissfully long.

Lots of downtime at home with , lovely visits with friends and family, play time on the fat bikes, and the chance to recharge more fully than previous years.

Today I took down the tree. It's time, but it always feels a bit ... bittersweet.

The holidays are officially over. And they were great.

But, I'm also ready to dig into the work that's ahead, and make good on my 2026 plans.

Grateful for all of it.

Awesome fatbike ride this morning with Islay, , and Michele in Eastlands.

It was a rimey winter wonderland with frost covering everything, so it was hard not to take photos the whole ride 😅

Wipeouts aren't as bad as they look 👉🏼
