Ever wondered why:
..You go silent instead of speaking up for yourself?
..You week approval (even in unhealthy relationships) instead of walking away?
..You keep people pleasing—even when it means abandoning yourself again and again?

These aren’t random quirks or personal flaws. They’re complex and adaptive trauma responses that go beyond the usual , , or .

MSK: Musculoskeletal Syndrome of Midlife

A very real issue in midlife—and something I’ve personally experienced—which led me to pursue two Health & Fitness Menopause Specialist certifications.

According to Dr. Jenna, MSK is “a direct result of shifting hormones that impact your muscles, joints, and bones. And it’s why so many women in midlife suddenly find themselves battling pain, injury, and loss of mobility.”

If you’ve been noticing symptoms like these, you might be dealing with MSK:

- Less fluidity and ease in your movements (even “easy” ones)
- Tight or achy muscles
- More DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness)
- Chronic joint pain (wrists/hands, feet, shoulders, hips, knees, etc.)
- Tendon/ligament strains (Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, etc.)
- Recurring injuries and slower healing times
