Hey there, reader! Ever felt that urge to dodge something that gives you the jitters? Well, you're not alone. Avoidance is like that cozy blanket we wrap ourselves in when we're spooked. But guess what? It can become an addiction, and it might be holding you back from the good stuff in life.

How are you feeling today?
One of these faces match your mood right now? Or one of these descriptions? If not, then how are you feeling? Try for something more descriptive than 'good' or 'bad'. We we learn to label our feelings we can describe them to others with more ease.

Stressed = Strained mentally or emotionally from too many demands and not enough resources
Overwhelmed = feeling like you have been taken over by strong feelings
Anxious = worried and uneasy about an uncertain outcome

Frustrated = upset because you cannot do something you want to do
Nervous = jumpy and worried about the future or an uncertain event

Lost = feeling uncomfortably alone and lacking direction

Pleased = feeling content and happy about a particular situation or person
Cheerful = full of happy feelings

Introducing Liliane Kom and Jake Joy, two dedicated therapists deeply passionate about mental health. We are thrilled to join forces, uniting our minds and hearts, to offer our community valuable insights, expert advice, and practical recommendations for enhancing mental well-being. Our journey began in Grad School, where we discovered our shared enthusiasm for helping others with a direct and compassionate approach.

What makes our collaboration truly remarkable is our diverse backgrounds and experiences. Liliane hails from the vibrant West region of Cameroon, while Jake Joy calls Alberta, Canada, her home. Our realization was simple yet profound: why not explore the intricate subject of mental health together, ensuring that diversity remains at the forefront of our approach? Diversity extends far beyond our appearances or countries of origin; it encompasses the unique cultures of our cities, neighborhoods, and families. Recognizing this, we understand that a one-size-fits-all solution doesn't exist when it comes to improving mental health—it's an ongoing, personal journey.

Our mission is to ignite inspiration and provide you with fresh perspectives and practical ideas for your happiness and well-being. Join us on this exciting path toward a healthier mind and a happier life.

If you are inspired - please like, follow and share. We really appreciate having you here with us! We invite you to join us in a rich dialogue on mental health.
