Stampede season may be behind us, but we're still smiling thinking back to our Stampede BBQ that we hosted on July 5th for our downtown community.

We served ~500 hot dogs, had our Chinook Country line dancers to entertain attendees, and collected food bank donations to round out an incredible day ☀️🌭🏇

To top it off, Leyden's won a Stampede Spirit Recognition award this year to celebrate all the time and effort we put into Stampede events.

We're so grateful for the opportunity to give back and connect with this incredible community. 🤠❤️

Our Story

Leyden’s Funeral Home is a newly renovated, carriage-style facility. There are spacious visitation rooms for privacy and comfort. Our large chapel comfortably seats 180 guests and is open to families of every tradition and faith. We also offer a reception room which is ideal for guests to visit after the chapel service, or separately for a Celebration of Life. We gladly provide in-house catering for families that wish to hold a reception, with full kitchen facilities available.

The funeral home is wheelchair accessible and has ample parking. We are conveniently located close to transit and hotels for visitors from out of town. There is also a crematorium located on-site for families that value cremation.

Leyden’s is part of the Arbor Memorial family, a Canadian company with a long-standing tradition of exceptional service. While we have been serving Calgary since 1930, recent renovations mean that Leyden’s is now equipped with a state-of-the-art audiovisual system to ensure that every guest hears speeches and takes comfort in photos. Our caring and compassionate staff are active in the community and we raise money for local charities every year.
