With one in four Calgarians feeling like they don't belong, social isolation remains one of the biggest challenges in our community.

Cass and Charles, two Calgarians who turned to the Inglewood Opportunity Hub, operated by Wood's Homes and supported by United Way, understand this struggle. Read Cass and Charles’ story and discover what’s possible when people feel supported by their community: https://bit.ly/44xt0Gw

United Way of Calgary and Area is helping build communities where everyone belongs by working to remove barriers and create opportunities for people to participate meaningfully in their community, form new relationships and establish inclusive spaces to live, work and play.

We see the need for safe, supportive spaces where people can build connections. United, we can meet it. Let’s keep building a stronger city where everyone belongs.

This holiday season, we're incredibly grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Calgary Flames Alumni and their generosity through their annual toy drive. 🙌

We were honoured to welcome Martin Gelinas and Joel Otto into our newest treatment centre, Cottage E, for a tour to see firsthand where many of our clients live over the holidays. The toys donated through this toy drive will bring comfort, joy, and a sense of normalcy to the children and families we serve, especially during a time when it’s needed most.

Thank you for continuing to show up for our community and for helping make the season brighter!

The holiday's aren't always merry and bright for young people and families at Wood's Homes, and staff like Emma witness it first hand.

That's why we're asking the community to help us ease the burden on those who are struggling this holiday season. By contributing to Wood's Homes for the Holidays, you're saying yes to those who need it most.

Here's how you can help:
