Did you know that there are 35 foster homes within the Wood's Homes Foster Care Network?

Our Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care programs are built on cultural connection and individualized support. Our caregivers work closely with our dedicated support teams to meet the unique needs of each child, helping them develop life skills, maintain family and cultural ties, and experience stability during times of transition.

As we celebrate Foster and Kinship Caregiver Month, we want to take the opportunity to recognize and thank each of our incredible foster caregivers for the extraordinary work they do every single day. We know that being a foster caregiver is not always easy, yet time and time again they go above and beyond to ensure every child feels valued, understood, and loved. 💚

The theme may have been icy cold, but the warmth and generosity of the room is what truly made this year's Never Give Up Gala in Lethbridge unforgettable! 💙

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour survivors, their families, and the generations of Indigenous peoples impacted by the legacy of residential schools. Reconciliation asks us to listen, learn, and walk alongside Indigenous communities in ways that create real and lasting change. At Wood’s Homes, we are guided by the wisdom of Elders and Knowledge Keepers, and inspired by the strength and creativity of the children and youth we support.

Their voices remind us why reconciliation matters, not just today, but every day. 🧡

This past Sunday, the Wood's Homes team attended Recovery Day in Calgary—a community celebration bringing together individuals, families, and organizations to celebrate recovery, reduce stigma, and promote mental health awareness.
