Osteopathic Manual Therapy working with hands to optimize all body systems & tissues from the tip of the head to the toe; and Proprioceptive-Deep Tendon Neurological system which resets irritants that disrupt the body & improve muscle function. Assisting clients to bring flex back to bones and improve joint movement, posture, gain range of motion by freeing up what`s causing stiffness and weakness, allowing weak muscles to work properly for everyday movement and performance is a passion of mine for 2 reasons: Firstly, this allows people to do things that they otherwise couldn’t do; and secondly, it prevents the chance of future injury. To accomplish this I combine a thorough assessment of all tissues to decide what to release and strengthen using a mixture of manual (hands on) techniques including approaches from Osteopathy and testing the input to the brain and output to muscles using Proprioceptive-Deep Tendon Reflex Neurological System to release facilitated tissue (bone, joints, muscle, fascia, blood and lymph vessels, organs and their ligaments) and give exercises to use improved muscle function to optimize freedom of movement, strength and coordination of the body. Calgary Parks is super stoked to introduce a new pilot amenity: Winter All-Terrain Wheelchairs (ATW)!

These wheelchairs help families and individuals with mobility challenges enjoy North Glenmore Park and Prairie Winds Park— on snow, ice trails, and pathways. Doesn’t matter what the ground looks like, you’re good to go!

“Winterized ATWs are life-changing. They remove barriers and let families fully enjoy outdoor experiences,” says Sheralee Stelter, from CP Kids & Families.

The basics:

💺 Choose a chair with wheels for paths & rinks, or skis for deep snow.

✅ Free to reserve via a Live and Play account.

📅 Pilot runs now through early March.

We don't want snow or ice to stop anyone from enjoying our parks: book your ATW today and discover the joy of winter outdoors!

It was great to be able to learn from a wide variety of doctors and physiotherapists who presented about the thorax (mid and upper back and chest), shoulder and relationships throughout the body; and also the impact of toxicity, brain neuroplasticity, and compassion at the C3 multidisciplinary health conference.

I especially appreciated the time I spent learning from Osteopathic and Sports Medicine Physician Dr Al Kozar. - A go getter who's walking encyclopedia, a skilled very holistic practitioner who's also kind. He's given me some good references for reading.
