Roll-ons are so handy because you can apply them topically in a pinch without worrying about getting essential oils on your hands and with them already being diluted. Especially this one.

You can absolutely make your own - just get a roll-on bottle and topper add your favorite oil and then finish it off with a carrier oil to dilute it, but I love that Young Living has a few blends that come this way.

This is a blend of peppermint, myrtle, Copaiba, Laurus Nobilis (Bay Leaf), Blue Cypress and several types of eucalyptus and is diluted so you can roll it on to your body as needed.

Aside from supporting the respiratory system it is also a great oil to apply topically to sore muscles or to use on a hot day as it has a cooling effect.

Emotionally, this oil blend supports us in letting go of emotional grief and sadness (according to Chinese medicine, these emotions are stored in the lungs). It is said that those who feel depleted and who are holding deep sadness and grief in the heart and lungs can find relief with this blend. It is said to help open the solar plexus and heart chakras - helping us to express ourselves better by letting go and embracing joy and hope.

Aromatically this blend is like a breath of fresh air. It’s also great to diffuse in a stuffy environment, or to “clear the air” when needed in the home either due to stagnant energy/emotions or illness.

It can be applied topically or diffused.

It is only available through the US market (us Canadians can still get it but it comes from the US instead of our Canadian market). Cost is $27.50 USD.

Laurus Nobilis - a.k.a. Bay Laurel or Bay Leaf

It’s physical properties include being beneficial for the respiratory system.

In the Middle Ages a laurel/bay leaf tree was planted in front of homes for protection and success.

It’s aroma is described as being sweet, fresh and spicy which leads to its overall properties of balancing, relaxing and warming.

Mentally, it heightens our awareness and perception. Spiritually it is said to amplify intuitive clairvoyance and Clairaudience skills. Because the mind is relaxed, one will be able to receive messages better and have more confidence in the process.

It also helps to integrate the emotional and mental bodies which helps to release blocks to embodying personal power.

It also helps to enhance creativity.

The chakras it works with primarily are the sacral and heart chakras.

It can be diffused or applied topically (after dilution).

Eucalyptus in the shower is one of my favorite things. It is so refreshing/uplifting that I find it is the perfect way to start the day. I usually just add a drop or two onto the shower floor/tub away from the shower head (so it doesn’t get washed down instantly).

Traditionally Eucalyptus is used to support the respiratory system as well as to soothe aching muscles, but it is also great for soothing emotional discomfort and clearing the mind.

Spiritually it is said to be an oil of transformation. Helping to bring a focus to relationships (to self and others). It will ask us to look at the patterns that are holding us back or it can bring to our awareness the patterns/reactions that are triggered in relationships where healing is needed. It supports both the solar plexus and heart chakras.

Young Living has a few different types of Eucalyptus available:

Eucalyptus Blue $19.50 (5ml)
Eucalyptus Globulus $18.50 (15ml)
Eucalyptus Radiata $23.75 (15ml)

This combo of oils is my current favorite and so fitting for this time of year. Christmas spirit essential oil is super inexpensive so it’s a great one to use daily right now if you love cinnamon/orange/spruce. It just makes me feel at home and gives me the ‘warm fuzzies.’ I added extra balsam fir because it is so grounding. I feel so good being out in a forest surrounded by trees and it’s incredible that smelling their oils/aroma can take me to that place without actually having to leave home.

Christmas Spirit is emotionally uplifting. It helps with feelings of anger/stress/emotional upheaval and allows for joy/happiness and brings a sense of emotional safety/protection.

Balsam Fir is grounding and relaxing - grounding the body and relaxing the mind. It brings emotional balancing by aligning the heart and sacral chakras. It’s really good for those who get out of balance emotionally very easily and then go ‘out of body.’ It also helps you to feel safe in trusting yourself/your heart instead of relying on your mind to think everything through.

Christmas Spirit is $13.25 for a 5ml bottle
Balsam Fir is $33.75 for a 5ml bottle

Did you know Young Living carries lip chap? And it’s honestly the best lip chap I’ve ever used.

The lavender is my favorite but there is also cinnamint (cinnamon and peppermint) and grapefruit. The ingredients include coconut oil, beeswax, jojoba oil, almond oil, wolf berry oil and rose hip oil as well as the essential oils which differ based on the type you get.

I have a few in stock if you’re looking for an extra little stocking stuffer (or if your lips are cracking and dry from this cold weather like mine 😬).

These Ningxia Red singles went out to a very excited little girl this morning!

If you’re interested in any Young Living product and would like to order, just let me know. I’ll be placing my next order in early January or I can help you get set up to order on your own (if you aren’t already).

For those that don’t know about Ningxia Red, it is a blend of wolf berry purée, blueberry, aronia, cherry, pomegranate and plum juices, stevia, grape seed and vanilla extracts, and the essential oils of lemon, yuzu, tangerine and orange.

I’m getting back into posting more regularly now that I have some more free time. 🙂 If there’s anything you’re interested in knowing about, let me know in the comments or in a dm.

Since it is freezing outside, this seems fitting. And it smells amazing.
For those that don't know, it contains orange, cinnamon bark and spruce.
It smells amazing in the diffuser, and can be applied topically too but I would dilute it 1:1 with a carrier oil because cinnamon is considered a "hot" oil.

For those of you that already order oils through Young Living, please consider donating to the YL Foundation to help with their efforts in Puerto Rico. ❤️

The Young Living Foundation team has landed in Puerto Rico today to assess needs and to transport hospital patients off the island. This opportunity came about when FEMA put out a call to all pilots to come and help transport patients who need ongoing medical care from Puerto Rico to Florida. Along with Vice President of Global Farms and Young Living pilot Mark Harris, we’ve answered that call and Gary Young and the Young Living Executive team are 100 percent behind the effort.

With this disaster, our greatest interest is to safeguard human lives (member or non-member) by bringing those who need medical attention to Florida and by providing supplies to vulnerable people as nearly half of Puerto Rico’s 3.4 million residents still lack potable water.

Help us do more
Young Living and the Young Living Foundation have come together to provide an initial start of $100,000 for these efforts, which will allow us to make multiple trips for about three days. We need your help to extend our time, so we can continue to provide more aid.

We will be on the ground today, and we will start to evaluate and identify the best way possible to help those Young Living members in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and cooperate those efforts with local authorities. Be sure to follow the Young Living Foundation page closely for videos and updates from the field.

Here are three ways you can help:
1. Donate to our disaster relief fund here > > >

https://younglivingfoundation.org/disaster-relief

We’re looking to raise $1 million overall, and much of that will be used initially for recovery efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Every $6,000 raised will support the cost of making a round-trip flight to Puerto Rico to bring aid and to rescue hospital patients.

2. Donate the following much-needed non-perishable food and dry goods. You can gather these items yourself or order through AmazonSmile and have them shipped to the Florida address listed below.
o Sawyer PointOne Squeeze Water Filter System, all-in-one version; click here > > > https://goo.gl/w7Xwp9 for the Amazon link
o Rice
o Oatmeal
o Canned foods (meat, beans, pasta, etc.) with pull-top lids
o Peanut butter
o Baby food
o Diapers
o Baby wipes

3. If you live in the Sarasota, Florida, area, we invite you to come help us load the plane with the supplies starting as early as Tuesday, October 3. We will need help throughout the week, and we will need you to be flexible, as the plane will not return from Puerto Rico on a scheduled time. If you can help, please send your name and phone number to the following email address: volunteer@younglivingfoundation.org.

I've been learning so much about Ningxia Red. It is a whole body juice supplement made primarily of Wolfberries (Goji) sourced from the Ningxia province in Northern China. Wolfberries are one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet and this drink is made from the whole berry (juice, peel, seed and fruit). The drink also contains essential oils and a supporting juice blend of grape seed extract, stinks, blueberry, plum, cherry and pomegranate juices. It is a powerful antioxidant and is great for the liver and lymphatic system (which is incredible news for me and I am sure this is part of the reason I was feeling so drawn to it). There are a ton of amino acids and trace minerals in this drink making it beneficial for the endocrine and cardiovascular systems (eye health, heart health, immunity and energy are what I hear about most from those that use it regularly). And something that I didn't know is that it also works wonders to balance emotions! This is all so incredible.

Here are the oils I used today and why.

- Lavender: I love the smell, it is so relaxing. I had a lot I wanted to do this morning and then had a rock climbing date with my sister this afternoon, so I used the lavender intentionally to ensure I stayed in a relaxed, present place mentally and emotionally. I used to easily fall into a place of stress so now I use lavender proactively to avoid that stress response altogether. I don't always catch myself, but when I do and am able to take a few moments and connect with lavender and my intentions, things go so much more smoothly.

- Orange: I had a finance class this morning and orange is the oil of abundance. So when I am working with money, writing up my budget or doing any other finance related work (usually on Sunday's) I like to use orange. I diffuse it and I inhale it from the palms of my hands and rub it on the back of my neck. It is such a refreshing smell.

- Ylang Ylang: I was talking with a friend this morning about Essential Oils that are good for the heart chakra and ylang ylang came up. I've been doing a ton of emotional and energetic work the last few weeks (follow my journey at ). Like my friend, my heart chakra can always use a little extra love so aside from using this oil as perfume (rubbed it on my shoulders, wrists and behind my ears) I also placed some over my heart chakra with the intention of allowing love in.

Here is my September order which I just picked up yesterday.

- 2 bottles of Ningxia Red (only one shown). If you read my earlier post you know I have committed to having a shot of this twice a day for the next month. It is supposed to really help with energy and it is super high in antioxidants which I can feel my body is craving.

- Refill bottle of Thieves hand soap. Mitch and I love this soap, and our bottles need a re-fill this month. I suspect this large bottle will last us several months.

- 2 bottles of Lavender, my whole family loves lavender and how much it helps with relaxation and sleep so these two bottles are actually going to my Mom and Dad because they are out.

- Eucalyptus for my Mom, it is amazing for respiratory congestion and eucalyptus combined with lavender and peppermint is amazing for asthma, which is what my Mom uses it for.

- Christmas Spirit because it smells amazing and I know Christmas is still a ways away, but it sold out last year so I'm sticking up while I can.

- Loyalty is actually an oil I was gifted for being a part of the loyalty program for 12 months and it smells amazing. There are too many oils in this blend to list but I'm interested to see how I'll end up feeling drawn to use this one.

- Vetiver because if you see my posts often you know how much I love it and I was out! It is amazing for grounding and balancing, it helps me stay levelheaded and in my body.

- Purification was a freebie this month. We love it here to freshen up our house or to use in the garbage. I also make a room spray out of this that I love.

- Grapefruit is really uplifting and is one of my favorite to blend with other oils. I've also been using this and geranium mixed in with my laundry soap because it smells delicious.

- Peppermint sample packs. These ones I didn't actually order, but I picked my order up at will call (no shipping charges!) and they gave me some samples for free so it was a win, win, win. ✨

And now I've realized I forgot a few things we needed like mouthwash and toothpaste 😳so I'll need to get those in on my next order.
