TESTIMONY TUESDAY ⬇️
I started the GPN nutrition program and coming to CrossFit classes in January 2020. As a nurse, I was making bad decisions/choices in food at work during both day and night shifts. I was at my heaviest weight I had ever been at, my clothes didn’t fit, I didn’t feel great both mentally and physically. I was frustrated with myself in being unable to be better with food and exercise. I worked out daily but half heartedly and ran once in while. I saw an advertisement and on a whim I decided to see what camrose CrossFit was all about. It turns out that whim was one of the best things I did! This nutrition program in conjunction with my daily online CrossFit workouts have made me feel and look my best. It’s helped me work through many of my food hang ups and taught me what my mind and body need to be healthy, feel good, and be my best self. It’s taught me about food prep and good sleeping habits. I’ve learned that for me and my body, lots of protein, fruit and veggies are what help me feel my best. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is to not feel guilty when I have a bad eating moment/day. Instead I accept that it happened and the next day I focus on making good food choices, doing my workout and try to look at the big picture and not beat myself up. I continue to follow all the things I’ve learned through this program while I also continue to be a “work in progress”. I’m proud of what this program/coaches have helped me achieve which is a physically and mentally stronger, healthier, happy version of myself who has learned a lot about herself through this journey.
