📣 big proclamation alert! ☀️

A little while ago I changed the name from Flow Animal Chiropractic to Flow Family & Animal Chiropractic and started accepting more humans into the practice.

After a LOT of reflection, I’ve realised something important (and pretty obvious…): the more humans I see, the fewer animals I can keep on my roster every day…

So we’re returning to Flow Animal Chiropractic. My hands‑on care will now be focused entirely on animals.

I still believe everyone should see a chiropractor, but not everyone needs to see me. I’m building relationships with excellent human chiropractors in our area so I can point you to people I trust for your own care.

We’ve been tucked into our little spot on Beckwith 9th Line in Carleton Place for a few months now, and it’s been so special to slowly make this space feel like “home” for our Flow families.

Bit by bit, the office has been coming together. We’re especially happy to now have a comfy, pet‑friendly waiting area where pets can settle on the couches, guardians can relax, and everyone can take a breath before and after their visit. You’ll see some of our favourite corners in the photos here (with more context in the captions).

If you’ve been curious about the clinic, please come say hi!

We’re open in‑office three afternoons a week:
• Monday: 2–6 pm
• Wednesday: 2–6 pm
• Friday: 2–6 pm

Dogs, cats, and their humans are all welcome to see us right here in our Carleton Place chiropractic centre, and we encourage any animal who can travel comfortably to come in.

For horses, larger animals, or folks who’d rather we come to you, we also offer mobile visits on most Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some Saturdays reserved for mobile days as needed.

A cool moment from my first public speaking event of 2026 - only right that I should get to work on a red mare 🔥🐴

This lady was every bit the stereotype of a red mare - touchy, fractious, on edge… Which made her the perfect demo horse to showcase the power of a single chiropractic adjustment. Even my non-horsey boyfriend/videographer could see the change in her after we got her atlas cleared ✨

No matter how many times I fall off, I’ll keep climbing back up on that horse.

Massive thanks to the pony club for giving me the opportunity to fall flat on my face, and for letting me try again, and again, and again.

Animal chiropractic is still so misunderstood, and it is my honour and privilege to get to speak to passionate young people about the profession and what it can do for animals (really, anyone with a spine).

This day might have been really painful, but they’re called growing pains for a reason. My next talk will go better. I might not even cry after 🤷‍♀️

ps. The other win of the day was getting to work alongside Bayer Hug Equine Therapy. Melissa's seriously amazing at what she does, and is just a wonderful human :)
