Meet the team! We are pleased to Welcome Chaarlie to our team under the role of Supervised Instructor!

With over a decade of experience in community-based support, Chaarlie brings a strong frontline background and is currently completing her Social Service Worker (SSW) program at Algonquin College. She has supported students as an Educational Assistant with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and has extensive experience working with youth and families in group home and wellness settings.

As a mother of four — including a child on the autism spectrum — Chaarlie combines professional expertise with lived experience, delivering compassionate, neuroaffirming support. Certified in TCI and CPI, she is passionate about emotional regulation, celebrating progress, and empowering every learner to thrive.

Meet the team! We are very pleased to introduce Hashim to the KES team!

Hashim Oguntoke is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over six years of experience supporting children and youth with autism spectrum disorder and diverse developmental needs. He began his professional journey after earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, which laid a strong foundation in human behavior, learning theory, and evidence-based intervention.

Hashim went on to complete a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and has since worked across clinic, home, community, and school-based settings in both Canada and the United States. He is deeply committed to compassionate, data-driven practice and specializes in designing individualized ABA programs that promote meaningful skill development, independence, and improved quality of life.

Known for his calm, empathetic approach, Hashim values close collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams and is passionate about supporting the neurodivergent community by meeting each child where they are while empowering caregivers throughout the therapeutic process.

Meet the team!

M. Terry Kirkpatrick is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario with over four decades of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities. He holds a Master of Education from the University of Toronto (OISE) and has worked extensively in developmental services, child welfare, autism treatment, and community-based care. Terry has led major initiatives supporting the transition from institutional to community living, managed multidisciplinary service teams, and developed specialized programs for people with complex needs. Alongside his public service career, he has maintained a private practice through the L.E.A.R.N. Centre, providing counseling and psychoeducational services. Terry is also a published author and educator, with a longstanding commitment to ethical, evidence-based care and to empowering families to support neurodivergent individuals in living meaningful, fulfilling lives.
