How long will I be red after microneedling?

Redness is a normal and expected part of the treatment. Most clients experience redness similar to a mild sunburn immediately after.

For many, a lot of that redness settles down by the next morning. You may still notice some pinkness for 24–48 hours as your skin continues to calm. From there, the surface continues to normalize while your skin is actively repairing and building collagen beneath.

Everyone’s skin responds a little differently, but this is a very typical healing pattern.

Healing is part of the process — and it’s exactly what leads to results.

How long is a microneedling appointment?

I allow 90 minutes for each appointment.
This includes consultation, numbing time, the treatment itself, a calming mask at the end, and reviewing aftercare instructions.

Every appointment is done thoroughly and at a comfortable pace, no rushing.

Preparing for microneedling is simple — but important.

A few small steps before your appointment can make a big difference in how your skin responds and heals.

To get the best results:

• Avoid sun exposure, retinol, and active products for a few days before
• Skip Botox for 2 weeks prior
• No waxing or exfoliation for 5 days
• Avoid alcohol 24 hours before
• Stay well hydrated
• Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin

One of the most common questions I get.

Most clients find microneedling much more comfortable than expected.

A numbing cream is used beforehand to keep it very tolerable.

You may feel more in certain areas (like the forehead or upper lip area), but overall it’s very manageable.

I can always adjust depth if needed to keep you comfortable.
