Has anyone else felt like the can’t take in a deep breath lately?
The body, stress and breath are connected.
Do you ever notice when life around you becomes intense or overwhelming, it can affect your ability to take a deep breath?
This is your nervous system at work.
When you’re stressed, your body shifts into “fight or flight.” Your breathing becomes quicker, shorter, and more restricted.
But the beautiful thing is…your breath can also be the way back.
By gently changing your breath, you can guide your body toward calm and safety.
Here’s something simple you can try right now, wherever you are 🤍
Lengthen your exhale.
Inhale through your nose for 4
Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6–8
Soften your shoulders.
Let your jaw unclench.
Don’t force it… just allow the breath to slow.
Longer exhales signal to your body that you’re safe.
They help shift you out of stress and into a more regulated, grounded state.
Try this for 1–2 minutes and notice what shifts ✨
