Villa Acadienne

Villa Acadienne Villa Acadienne is a Home for Special Care, situated along beautiful St. Mary's Bay in the Acadian Municipality of Clare. These beds must be booked in advance.

What began as a 45 resident Home in 1975 has expanded to an 84 permanent bed facility. There are also 2 respite beds available for short-term care. Villa Acadienne recognizes the need for increased specialized care in long-term care facilities and is striving to meet this need in our community. To assure that the quality of care required by the residents is provided, there is an interdisciplinary team of health care providers including nursing, nutrition, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, recreational and pastoral care. Visiting hours are from 12:00 to 8:00 pm in resident rooms but you may visit with residents at any time in one of the common areas.

Some of our residents went skating at the Mariners Centre and joined with residents from 4 other facilities! A few of our residents hadn’t been on ice in 30-40 years, and another had her first time ever skating today!! Thank you Veteran’s Place for the invite 😁 We had an amazing time!

You may notice that we had a small group today. This was to ensure the residents had fun while remaining safe with trying out a new activity. We love new opportunities for our residents to enjoy 🫶

Searching for some March Break fun? We’re inviting the residents' loved ones, including the children, grand and great-grand children of the residents and staff members to join us for a movie afternoon.

We will have snacks and there is no cost to this event!
