I’ve been asked a lot about how long and what steps we go through to make a Private Member's Bill become law in Canada, where typically fewer than 2% actually make it through the Senate. It’s taken a long time from start to finish to get here, but the best advice I’ve given anyone who asks is to surround your bill with incredibly passionate stakeholders who will help every step of the way. We did that and we have that.
