**Trigger Warning**
I haven’t yet allowed myself any emotion about the newest lockdown… Or should I say shut down… I have pretended to be numb to it as this isnt something new in Simcoe Muskoka.
However I have been lying to myself , as well as others actually.
I am devastated.
I am exhausted.
I am not numb.
I am broken.
As a business owner I am aware of how horrible we have been treated and that we seem to be the among the few targeted businesses (personal service settings)
I see and support all of these businesses who remain open during these times I am with you I am proud of you I am happy for you- I 100% support your decisions to remain open🔥
That just isn’t the right decision for ME…
I cannot afford any monetary fine, with out potentially loosing everything I worked for within my biz.
I cannot afford any potential reputation hits… Small town living.
I cannot afford losing my health unit inspection designation… Or any type of incident where I may need to call on my insurance company. They’d both walk✌🏻.
I wish things were different this time but they are not.
Just a broken biz owner wanting to work and service those who need the ‘pick me up’ in their moods- I do that for ppl!! Not currently tho...
The only thing my studio will be good for this April is for my dogs sun bathing . 🖤🙏🏼🖤

Ok ok hold up....
So this is my hair... pic 1 is 100% air dried no products...
Pic 2- dry texturizing spray.
This single product gave me so much lift & volume.

Nothing pretty about this picture.
Do you ever see your last artists set up?
Do you ever see the lash tile they’re about to use on you?
Do you ever see your lash artist clean up after your service?
This is a picture of the lashes I tossed after one of my clients.
Could I put less on my tile as to not waste so many - yea sure could, but then when I need to reach for more I waste precious time that I could have been lashing.
As you can see I pre cut all my strips Into smaller sections to hopefully not have much waste. Very rarely will I ever put an entire row of Lashes on my tile. After each service I toss the remaining lashes on my tile clean it with the proper medical grade cleaners and set up for the next service.
Never are you supposed to use the same lashes on one person to the next from the same tile or strip.
There would be no reason to clean my tweezers/tools either if this was something I did.
Proper set up and cleaning between clients is more important than ever these days. If you ever have questions about how I set up for a service or how your artist set up for a service definitely ask if it’s being done properly and safely there would be no reason to hide any of this information from clients.

I have had a lot of “jobs”...many different styles of work- none of which if you told 18yr old me that these were the things adult you will do- I would’ve laughed!! Because teenage me was a sporty tomboy horrible at math and not very “schooly”... adult me has worked in banking, accounting, data entry and most recently permanent makeup and lashes.
It’s funny where life takes you🖤
The best part however is the amazing people I’ve met along the way... that I now get the privilege to reconnect with through MY business (teenage me rolls eyes).
I’m lucky to have such wonderful souls in my studio.
Forever grateful for what adult me has built 🙏🏼🖤

I can’t say it enough... my clients are better then yours🙏🏼♥️♥️
Each time I get a new booking from someone I’ve never met I get anxious, excitedly and nervously... the anticipation of the unknown.... what’s she gonna be like? Is she gonna like me and my style? Will we be a good fit client to artist? Will she trust me? All of this and SO much more cross my mind before meeting you. I am beyond grateful for the relationship I get to form on the daily. You all are like extended family. And this gem pictured was no different!! It’s always an amazing feeling to meet new people you connect with🙏🏼🖤🙏🏼
