On October 13, 1917, a crowd of thousands in Fátima witnessed the promised sign. As rain ceased, the sun tore from the sky, a spinning disc of silver, casting kaleidoscopic light. It plunged earthward in a dizzying dance, then soared back to its place. The soaked ground and the people’s clothes were instantly dry.
This miracle confirmed the message given by Our Lady to the three shepherd children throughout her apparitions: a fervent plea for humanity’s repentance. To continue praying the rosary every day. She also urged prayer, penance, and to amend our lives, for God, she warned, is already too much offended.
