Our residents had an amazing time yesterday enjoying a fantastic Elvis show with Dan Champaine! 🎤✨
To make the day even more special, we served up a signature Elvis-inspired cocktail — the “Hunk of Burning Love” — celebrating the King’s famous love of peanut butter, banana, and bacon. 🍌🥓🥜
There was music, laughter, and plenty of toe-tapping fun all around. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a memorable afternoon!

March is Chartwell’s March into Wellness month, and we’re celebrating with healthy and delicious activities all month long!

This afternoon, residents enjoyed a refreshing Smoothie Bar, choosing from four freshly made smoothie options prepared by our amazing Food Service Manager, Justin, and General Manager, Jasmin — with the support of our wonderful serving staff who helped take orders and deliver these delicious treats. 🍓🍌🥭

It was a big hit — wellness has never tasted so good!

This morning we had the pleasure of hosting our monthly Gentleman’s Breakfast in our private dining room — and what a great way to start the day! ☕🥓
There’s something special about gathering around the table for good food, strong coffee, and even better conversation. We’re grateful for the camaraderie, laughter, and meaningful connections that make this tradition such a highlight each month.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our February residents at our Birthday Social! Everyone enjoyed homemade cake, coffee, and ice cream while sharing lots of smiles and laughter. 🍰☕🍨
It’s always a special afternoon when we come together to honor the amazing individuals who make our community so special. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a sweet celebration!

We’re so grateful for our phenomenal resident volunteers! 💛

From helping at our Open Houses to warmly welcoming new residents into their new home, their kindness and generosity truly makes a difference in our home.

To show our gratitude, we hosted a Resident Volunteer Appreciation Lunch in our private dining room to celebrate and thank them for all they do. We are so fortunate to have such caring residents who help make Chartwell McConnell feel like home.

Today’s Chair Hockey activity was a success! 🏒🎉
We love seeing our residents come together for fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Chair hockey is a fantastic activity for residents of all physical abilities, making it easy for everyone to participate, stay active, and enjoy the excitement of the game.
The smiles, teamwork, and cheering made today truly special. We can’t wait for the next match!

At a recent Food for Thought & Activity meeting, one of our residents suggested a poutine bar - and we loved the idea! With toppings like roast beef, pulled pork, sautéed vegetables, green onions, and of course the famous St. Albert’s cheese curds, it was a delicious hit.
We were excited to add it to our activity calendar for both Residents and Staff to enjoy. Thank you for continuing to share your ideas — they truly help make our community even better!
