The tulips don't care whether you're ready for spring.

This Easter weekend, millions of Canadians will gather with family, share a meal, hunt for chocolate eggs with squealing children. Yet millions of others will watch the weekend arrive like a train they weren't allowed to board. Loneliness and isolation do not observe holidays. In fact, they tend to dress up for them.

There is help available. There are people who need it. There's a gap between those two things your donation can close.

Your Walking Group Can Change Lives!

Every week, walking groups all across Delta show up for each other — rain or shine. This year, those same steps can open the door to mental health care for someone who couldn't otherwise afford it.

We're calling on walking groups to register as a team for the Move for Mental Health fundraiser on Saturday June 13 at the Red Barn in Tsawwassen. Same walk you already love. A little more purpose behind it.

Read our latest blog article: The game-changer you didn't know you needed!

We talk a lot about squeezing every last drop of productivity out of every single day. But what we don’t talk about nearly enough is the life-changing power of rest.

Sometimes, the most restorative thing you can do isn’t lying on a couch—it’s gathering with your community, cheering alongside strangers who become friends, and being reminded that you’re part of something bigger than your to-do list.

We are incredibly grateful to the Harlow and Mary Ann Burrows Foundation for their ongoing support and generous $46,000 gift to further the work of the Step Forward Health Society. 💙
This meaningful contribution will help us continue expanding programs that strengthen mental health, connection, and resilience in our community. Through initiatives like the Step Forward Program, which helps reduce financial barriers to counselling, as well as programs such as Pain in the Arts, When Love Hurts, MenTOR, 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth support groups, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills groups, and our 140 Sports youth mental health programs, we are working to ensure that people have access to the support they need when they need it most.
Philanthropy like this helps make mental health care, education, and community support accessible to individuals and families who might otherwise go without.
Thank you to the Harlow and Mary Ann Burrows Foundation for believing in our mission from the very beginning and investing in the well-being of our community. Your generosity is helping people take meaningful steps forward. ✨

Their stories matter. 💜
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women in our community. At Step Forward Health Society, we are committed to creating spaces where women feel supported, empowered, and heard.
Through our programs, we work to support women at many stages of life:
• When Love Hurts – a free, trauma-informed online group offering women experiencing intimate partner violence a confidential space to heal and rebuild.
• Pain in the Arts – a creative program that blends art, identity exploration, and chronic pain education, especially meaningful as chronic pain disproportionately affects women.
• MenTOR – supporting men in developing emotional insight, addressing trauma, and building healthier relationship patterns—an important step in addressing the root causes of gender-based violence.
• 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Mental Health Group – an inclusive, affirming space where young people of all genders can find connection, resilience, and support.
• 140 Sports Program – partnering with youth sports organizations, coaches, and parents to strengthen mental health and emotional wellbeing in athletes, particularly supporting young women navigating the pressures of adolescence.
Together, these programs help build a future where women are safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Their stories matter. Today and every day. For more information or to support these programs, please visit us at: www.stepforwardhealth.ca
