We said goodbye to Trudy and Gerald Tuesday and wished them safe journeys and were so blessed by their coming.

Whether it was through rain or sunshine, we enjoyed their presence. From a preliminary home visit to sitting under a drooping tree in the T/A's courtyard they were game to follow. They helped us bless a local church and paint its feature wall and painted our front duplex wall.

They joined in on our Friday night games night enthusiastically and Gerald danced to the ymca then adding glowsticks to the party, Trudy would play cards with the kids Gerald playing soccer games with the kids and joining in a campfire Friday night hot dog party with Gerald's guitar. Gerald was all in to playing hide and seek in the dark and the kids loved it till the guards showed his hiding spot.

I personally learned bird warching and apps to identify birds here. Once in a while they would hear me scream as a new bug or army of ants would freak me out.

Under the drooping majestic tree, we sat at our T/A's court. The youth group shared their passion to stop early teen marriages for kids and the need for each child to be in school and get an education. Local authorities and chief's came to hear their plea's.

The T/A supports their endeavors as they align in many ways with our hopes.

I was able to share we need to help them with their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.

I wish this country would not put so much emphasis on uniforms. Each child desires to be educated. Many can not get the education as their is much poverty. A uniform would cost wages for a length of time. Espically as many are struggling to put food on the table.

Our friends from Canada got to see the way the T/A works here.

Right after leaving, a day later, a woman came begging for us to take in her children. I said no. We are supporting her to get uniforms, exercise books and pens and food for them.

The struggle is so real here. 🛖

On Saturday we share God's love and compassion at the feeding program.

When I returned from a meeting, I was able to sit and chat with the children. For many, this is their best meals for the next week. Can you imagine?

The feeding program Saturday's is a huge success. The children receive two very nutritious meals. In between the meals we teach them the love of God, sing.

After we time to have fun playing netball, soccer, basketball and skipping. God is good.

Each child is registered through different villages as the most vulnerable and needy with home assessments. We still have three more villages to go to, but may only have room for 1 more village. The hunger grows at this time of year before harvesting.
