Ad Astra Stables would like to introduce Katya.

Katya is a 3-year old quarter horse. Her colour is cremello.

Katya's greatest strength as a healer is a chakra balancer. She is very, very strong in this area and likes to get up close and personal. She doesn't work with participants yet because she is too young still. However, in a few years, her skills will shine!

A day in the life for Katya looks like a day of fun! She loves to play and she is super curious about everything. She wants to help us pick up poo in the field and she actually helps us with this chore by aiming for our muck buckets. She has pretty good aim most days.

Katya loves her non-GMO beet pulp, hay, grasses, and leaves. She also loves carrots, apples, and peppermint tea just like her Auntie Angie.

Ad Astra Stables is very excited for Katya's future but we are treasuring each moment of her development.

Ad Astra Stables would like to introduce Angie.

Angie is a 12-year-old quarter horse. Her colour is red dun.

Angie is extremely maternal and kind. She volunteers to work with every person she comes across.

She is particularly skilled in detecting congruence and in grounding techniques.

A typical day for Angie involves protecting the herd and her space. She loves to graze and roll. She loves carrots, apples and peppermint tea.

We are grateful for Angie each and every day.

Ad Astra Stables would like to introduce Flicka!

Flicka is a 21 year old pinto with a super sweet personality.

She is an expert in chakra balancing, detecting congruence and being very clear in her boundaries.

A typical day for her would involve eating. Eating grass, eating hay, eating non-GMO beet pulp. She loves to hang out with Angie and not so much with Katya (but she puts up with her kindly). She loves carrots but does not like apples at all!

This picture was taken first thing in the morning so our stalls and barn have not been cleaned yet. We just loved this picture of her. It expresses her spice!

If you would like to meet Flicka, contact us at Ad Astra Stables.

Did you know?

A horse’s skin is only 1 mm thicker than human skin. However, the epidermis layer is thinner than a human.

This means that their pain sensing receptors are closer to the surface.

They can detect 3 grains of sand on their body or feel a fly on their skin that is 50 million times small than them!

Therefore, horses have the same ability to sense pain as a human but are more sensitive to physical touch.

Please don't pat any horse. This hurts them.
