This Pride Month, we honour the wisdom and vulnerability of LGBTQ+ voices in the end-of-life space. 🏳️🌈
Pascal Auclair offers us this truth:
💔 “Facing death is a device for tenderizing hearts.”
In his words, to acknowledge death is to return to the present. It invites us to release the unnecessary and attend deeply to what - and who - matters most. There is no space for pretense when we stand near the threshold.
As End-of-Life Doulas, we don’t run from death. We walk toward it, softened by its power to open us - over and over again.
✨ In honouring voices like Pascal’s, we’re reminded that truth and tenderness are not separate. They are the medicine we carry, and the legacy we leave.
