While adjusting as a new family of five I have been away from social media and doula work. The last few months have been a whirlwind for our family and yet so fun! We are excited for this next season as summer winds down.

As our family prepares for the arrival of baby #3 I will be disappearing from social media as well as taking the next year to focus on my family. Doula work is still something I’m very passionate about and I look forward to coming back to this role when the time is right.

What exactly does a postpartum doula do?
Care may look different for each individual family based on their needs but the foundation of support is all the same.

🤍 Information and Educational Support:
The postpartum period can be overwhelming with a lot of new circumstances and many “unknowns”. A doula knows what is considered normal and what may be concerning. We love to help teach infant care and are always around to chat about any fears or uncertainties new parents may have.

🤍 Infant Care and Infant Feeding:
It may feel like there is so much to learn but as a doula I am here to walk alongside you in this journey. There’s nothing I love more than teaching new parents how to bathe their baby or assisting with feeding. Need assistance with nursing or bottle feeding? I am here to help!

🤍 Emotional Support:
This is an exciting time for new families but having someone to talk to and rely on during such a big change is always a bonus. There is no judgment here. I’m happy to offer encouragement or even just a listening ear.

🤍 Light Housekeeping:
Want to soak in those new baby snuggles? Great! I’d love to tidy your kitchen, throw in a load of laundry or help prepare a nourishing postpartum snack or meal! Looking for a little ‘you time’? I am more than happy to tend baby while you shower or have a meal to yourself.
