This weekend (Nov 14-16) is bursting with fun around Edmonton — from festive lights and wagon rides, to creative workshops and coding fun for the kids. Whether you need a low-stress outing or a “we’re dressing warm and heading out” adventure — I’ve got you covered.

📅 Friday, Nov 14
• Crossroads Light Up the Night Festival — at 11759 Groat Road NW, Edmonton from 4 p.m.–9 p.m. Free entry, lots of live entertainment, horse-drawn wagon rides, Santa, Elsa, The Grinch and more.
• Métis Week Celebration in Stony Plain — celebrating Métis heritage with music, dance, food & storytelling. 5 p.m.–8 p.m. Fri.
• Toonie Swim at Eastglen Leisure Centre — 7 p.m.–9 p.m., affordable fun for the kiddos with inflatable obstacle course.
📅 Saturday, Nov 15
• Toy Swap at Edmonton ReUse Centre — 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at 6835 83 Street NW. A great way to recycle toys and refresh the playroom.
• Family Candle Making Workshop — 2 p.m.–3:30 p.m. at John Walter historic home. Creative activity for the family!
• All Is Bright on 124th — starts at 4 p.m.–8 p.m. on 124 Street, Edmonton: live music, winter activities, food & community magic. Great for when the sun goes down.

• Kids Coding Workshop: Interactive Story of Kindness — 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. at 8882 170 Street NW. Kids & families welcome to get tech-creative.
