The average woman uses 12 different beauty products every day — cleansers, conditioners, hair dyes, skin care products, scented lotions, nail polish, and makeup, to name a few. Take a quick glance at the labels, and you'll see a cocktail of chemical components. 🤯

You might assume that all these ingredients have been tested to ensure that they're safe for long-term use. That's not the case.

At least on the federal level, no one is checking to make sure that the chemicals you're putting on your body are harmless.

"Products are tested to make sure they don't cause short-term problems, such as skin irritation. The FDA steps in only if people actually complain about a product because they suspect it harmed them. Prior to that, the onus is on the company alone. 😳

Just because it’s on the store shelf does not mean it’s safe.

It’s like breaking a chain of bo***ge so your children don’t have to carry around what you did. When you are FREE, they are free.

Remember that self-care is more important than bath bombs and spas; it also means taking care of your mental health. Be the mom who heals future generations by healing herself ❤️

You won’t always be this needed or wanted by your children. When you look back on how you spent these years, you will never regret spending more time with your children. Time spent with family is always a positive investment.

As Mel Robbins said, “if you are living in the past, you are going to be depressed. If you are living in the future, you are going to be anxious.” The present moment is the only thing we have control of, not the past, not the future.

So try to soak in as much of today as you possibly can coz you will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow they’ll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift.

You got this mama❤️❤️

Looking for how to make an easy paleo low carb crackers recipe? This is the one.

These almond flour crackers (paleo crackers) are made up of just TWO simple and healthy ingredients. And when they’re mixed together and baked, they turn into addicting, but wholesome, little almond crackers! ❤️

With just two simple ingredients (plus salt), you can make these paleo crackers. They are buttery, crispy, and oh-so-crunchy!

Here’s all you need to make this almond flour crackers recipe:

⋒ Blanched Almond Flour
⋒ Egg
⋒ Sea Salt (Salt is not usually counted by convention since everyone always has it, so this recipe is considered 2 ingredients.)

Here’s how to make these crackers in 3 easy steps:

1. Mix up the paleo crackers recipe dough. You can make the dough for these almond flour crackers in a food processor, or stir the dough by hand in a bowl. Just mix the almond flour and salt (and other herbs or spices if you prefer- I added rosemary) together, and then add in the beaten egg. It will be crumbly.

2. Shape the crackers. Place the no carb crackers dough in between two layers of parchment paper and roll it into a rectangle shape. Then, just cut the almond flour crackers dough into rectangles or whatever shape. My kids wanted stars 😅

TIP: Prick each cracker with a fork or toothpick. This helps them cook more evenly and prevents bubbling.

3. Bake the low carb homemade crackers until golden brown.

TIP: Watch them closely toward the end – they go from crisp to burned a bit quickly.

Who is going to make these? ☺️

Double tap if you agree!

Motherhood is a beautiful journey to embark upon, but not an easy one to tread as there are challenges and hurdles to deal with, along the way. ❤️

I LOVE being a Mom more than any other title I have held in life, and I have been privileged to hold other titles in the business world, yet none of them can come close to holding the title of “Mother”. My children are my everything

These No bake DATE ENERGY BALLS are a quick & easy healthy snack. Made with almonds, coconut, and dates, they remind me of cookie dough! They are vegan, Paleo gluten-free and have no refined sugar, but you'd never know it! They're also freezer-friendly! 😊

⋒ No bake Date Energy Balls ⋒

INGREDIENTS
* 2 cups raw organic almonds, or other nut/seed of choice
* 1 cup organic shredded unsweetened coconut
* 2 cups soft organic Medjool dates , pitted
* 1 tbsp. Organic Cocoa powder
* 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS
* In a large food processor, combine the walnuts and coconut until crumbly.

* Add in the dates, and sea salt and process again until a sticky, uniform batter is formed. (You can add a tablespoon of coconut oil, only if needed to help the mixture come together.) You don't want to over process, or the batter will become oily, so process until crumbly, but sticky when pressed between your fingers.

* Scoop the dough, then roll between your hands to form balls. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then place in the fridge or freezer to set for at least 30 minutes before serving. Store the balls in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week, or in the freezer for an even longer shelf life.

Save this recipe for a quick and healthy snack! ☺️

We all have been told that you need to wear sunscreen in order to prevent skin cancer. That’s a no brainer. But did you know that most conventional sunscreens actually contain really harmful ingredients that are linked to cancer?? 🤯

First, always read the ingredient labels. The front of the sunscreen might say “natural” or “gentle” but def make sure to read the actual ingredients. (Active & Inactive Ingredients)

Active ingredients like Homosalate, Benzophenone, Padimate O, Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Para-aminobenzoic Acid (PABA), are all approved by FDA but the have major toxicity concerns. 🥴

Here are SPF inactive ingredients to avoid: Fragrance, Butane, Parabens, PEGs, Polyethylene, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Styrene Acrylates Copolymer & Retinyl Palmitate.

And if you see some questionable ingredients that aren’t on this list, you can always look up the product on Think Dirty App or EWG to learn more about them!

My youngest loves brussels sprout whether raw or cooked. So I decided to make a simple and easy salad which can be eaten as a main or side dish!

Because raw brussels stand up so well to dressing, it’s also great to make ahead – just add the avocado right before serving.

⋒ Shredded brussel sprouts salad with bacon and avocado ⋒

INGREDIENTS
* 3 slices duck bacon diced
* 3 cups organic shredded brussels sprouts
* 4 oz organic avocado, diced (1 small)

For the vinaigrette:
* 1 tsp dijon mustard
* 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil
* 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
* 2 tablespoons chopped red onion
* 1/2 teaspoon celtic sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS

* Cook duck bacon in a large heavy skillet until crispy, about 7 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel to drain and set aside.
* In a small bowl whisk the vinaigrette ingredients. Place brussels in a bowl and toss, pour dressing over the salad, top with avocado and bacon and serve right away.

Have you tried this salad before? Who is going to make this?
